At Loisaba Community Conservation Foundation we are dedicated to improving the lives and living
conditions for the marginalized Samburu and Masaai tribes’ people. A Trust has been established which
provides employment, education, health and related services. The Trust consists of approximately 100
sq. miles in the Laikipiak Plateau Region of Kenya. As part of our work, we ask you to create a
marketing plan and marketing promotional material for products designed by the Koija Women’s group.
At the current time, we have a specific need we are hoping your class can help us meet. In our effort to
build awareness and increase product sales, we need your assistance in designing effective strategies
and promotional materials. We believe that your knowledge of marketing, consumer behavior,
segmentation, targeting, and positioning and skills in teamwork, writing, and communications could
provide important service for Loisaba by creating a marketing plan and promotional materials for us.
Specifically, we need help identifying market opportunities for the beaded products that are handmade
by the Koija. We are particularly interested in promotional materials for beaded brow bands and belts
that can be used for dressage competitions. Additionally we seek your recommendations for market
opportunities for our beaded dog collars, bracelets, and ornaments. The specific goals are outlined in
the project description that Dr. Buff will provide for you.
We ask that you complete this work by April 21, 2009 and present us with the marketing information
and promotional material as outlined specifically in the project description. We are available to help
you in any way we can in your work. We are available at 587-7300 and through email
email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org.
In advance, we thank you for your contributions to the important work of Loisaba Community
Conservation Foundation. We look forward to a continued partnership with Siena College and we look
forward to working with you.
