Inspiring Leadership Series
No organisation has become great without exceptional leadership. Today, more than ever, the Queensland
Public Sector is leading in an environment of change and challenge. This is why we are bringing together
leaders from government, tertiary institutions and training providers to explore the leadership needs of
today’s sector and identify the new leadership paradigm.
Inspiring Leadership is not just one program – it is a completely new series designed to provide today’s
public sector leaders at all levels with the opportunity to realise their leadership potential, and deliver
outstanding results for the people of Queensland.
The Public Service Commission is proud to be partnering with organisations and public sector leaders of
outstanding reputation to develop the Inspiring Leadership series specifically to meet the needs of the
Queensland Public Sector.
Our three Executive Sponsors for Inspiring Leadership are known for strong and decisive leadership at the
senior executive level across Queensland Government. They are:
Dave Stewart Director-General Transport and Main Roads
Debbie Best Deputy Director-General Environment and Resource Management
Gary Mahon Assistant Director-General Community Safety
The Inspiring Leadership Series is developed by the sector, for the sector. The Queensland Leadership
Advisory Team (Q-LAT) is a group of senior leaders drawn from all Agencies across the Sector. They are
working closely with the PSC and our partners to develop the Series.
