					The following projects were approved at our latest Local Initiatives Funding meeting
June 8, 2010:

                  Tagged Fishing Derby                       $ 2,500
      (Dryden Ice Dogs to host fishing derby weekend of July 31.)
                  Baseball Dugouts                           $ 2,500
      (Ignace Recreation Department building 4 dugouts.)
                  Turnout Gear Storage System                $ 2,000
      (Machin Firefighters Association to install gear storage system.)
                  Community Garden                           $ 5,000
      (Mary Berglund Com. Health Centre taking the lead in building a Community
                  National Windsurfing Championships         $4,000
      (Dryden Marketing Association marketing the event nationwide.)
                  Locavore Box                               $ 700
      (Cloverbelt Country Farmer’s Market offering pilot project of local food boxes.)
                  Cooperative Study                          $2,500
      (Kenora District Soil & Crop Improvement Association needs to find out how a
      producer/consumer cooperative model would be viable in the region.)
                  Aboriginal Day Event                       $2,500
      (Elders Group at Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation hosting evening event.)
                  Roy Prevost Video Conf. Seminar            $ 425
      (PACE offering free of charge video conferencing seminar on Turbo Charging
      Your Business.)
                  Spring Feast                               $ 500
      (Ignace Aboriginal Focus Group hosted a community feast to engage all
