University of Massachusetts Boston – Global Post-Disaster Reconstruction and Management
The Center for Rebuilding Sustainable Communities after Disasters (CRSCAD) at the University of
Massachusetts Boston offers a professional development certificate in Global Post-Disaster
Reconstruction and Management.
This Certificate is an extension of the work done by CRSCAD that meets a strong need expressed by
governmental and non-governmental agencies and other organizations for a professional training
program that addresses what needs to be done AFTER emergency relief leaves a disaster scene. Offered
in conjunction with University College at UMass Boston, this online certificate strategically combines
multidisciplinary approaches with support and teaching from a variety of faculty within several UMass
colleges and departments. It can be completed on either a full-time or part-time basis.
