Main goal of the register The EGR is a network of registers consisting of a central register at Eurostat and local registers in the EU and EFTA Countries, containing structural economic information about Multinational Enterprise Groups (MNEs) with an interest in Europe 5. Thephase title of work which was on online interface for retrieving data (the interface will be available Development of the the methodology for Profilng Description of work (max 4-5 sentences) Development and test – in co-operation with 7 National Statistical Institutes (NSIs) – of the methodology and a template for Profiling. During 2012 the tests are going to involve 5 additional NSIs. In parallel an interactive tool which allows NSIs to exchange and validate data on Profiling is going to be built 3. Implementation of a user on-line access, which allows the consultation, the validation and the retrieve of data in the central EGR at Eurostat . Implementation of the "live register" concept, which is based on the continuous integration of data from the different providers in the central register and the periodical update of the frame populations 2. The short title of work planned Implementation of Web services into the EGR system Description of work (max 4-5 sentences) Start the development of a web based platform for sharing information and application search functions, link to relevant information, ability to create and update data and notifications of content changes. Web based functions are also basics for the use and the integration of EGR data in the statistical production process, allowing the exchange of data i push / pull mode 3.
