									Position: Business Manager – Washington, DC & Baltimore

Job Description: Phase 5 Consulting, a national, full-service consulting company, is seeking a Business
Manager for a leading Systems Integrator and Value Added Reseller providing technology products,
services, and supply chain solutions to customers around the globe. Our client brings to market a
powerful blend of people, processes, and partnerships to help its customers manage the planning,
procurement and deployment of IT solutions. They also provide customers with advanced technology
solutions, such as Unified Communications, Security, Data Center, Wireless Mobility, and eCommerce.
Our client works closely with industry leaders, focusing on three market segments; Commercial
Enterprise, Service Providers and the Federal Government. The company is also one of the world’s
largest Cisco Gold resellers and was recently recognized as Cisco’s North American Partner of the Year.
Other Strategic OEM Partnerships include; HP, Dell, NetApp, EMC, Citrix, Vmware and Sun.

Phase 5’s Business Manager opportunity is a challenging position with several opportunities
for career advancement and will require direct interaction with customers, sales, and
employees.

are to ensure that our customers are overly satisfied with the experience of our client’s
products and services. The candidate filling this position must be able to effectively present our
client’s value proposition and work directly with our customers and staff to ensure success.

Candidates must have excellent Project Management skills and experience. The ability to
effectively train and mentor Project Managers will also be required for the position.

Location:

Responsibilities:
• Strong customer facing & presentation skills

• Foster strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal personnel
• Recruitment, interviewing, & forecasting staffing requirements
• Personnel management
• Good understanding of financial & cost control practices
• Continuous focus and drive for services improvements
• Strong problem solving skills with the ability to implement change
• Work directly with sales, project managers, & deployment resources to ensure flawless execution of
our implementations
• Ensuring customer satisfaction and SLA’s are achieved
• Manage schedule, scope and milestone performance
• Monitor/manage the day-to-day aspects of projects
• Proper staffing & utilization management
• Issue resolution and risk mitigation
• Continued focus on methodologies & deployment process
• Review of project deliverables

Qualifications:
• 1-3 years experience at the Program Management level, with experience leading at least one
enterprise-class program in excess of $1M
• Minimum of 5 years management experience
• Bachelor’s degree, PMP, or extended management experience preferred
• Excellent understanding of the project lifecycle, issue and risk management and mitigation strategies
• Excellent understanding of financial and contract processes
• Able to manage contract modifications and lead of negotiations surrounding contract scope, cost and
schedule
• Ability to tactfully and professionally address customer issues
• Ability to work independently and have good issue resolution skills
• Knowledge of Cisco technologies and deployment practices preferred
• Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
• Valid driver’s license
• Able to obtain a Federal Security Clearance
