Terms of Reference
Consultancy to support IOM Peru’s cases of socioeconomic assistance to vulnerable
Under the direct supervision of the Program and Project Coordinators and in close
coordination with the Migrant Assistance and Movement Unit’s team, the incumbent will be in
charge of providing direct assistance to migrants through IOM’s various programs and projects.
Core functions / responsibilities:
Provide direct assistance to migrants in need, following IOM’ standards, programs and
projects, including home visits, other types of visits and travel duty.
Supervise, coordinate and monitor the reintegration cases of Voluntary Returns,
Humanitarian cases, Victims of Human Trafficking and other migrants as required.
Develop and implement risk assessments and/or voluntary return counseling, outreach
and post-arrival social and economic support for the cases identified above.
Implement IOM’s standards for return, reintegration, humanitarian and victims of
human trafficking cases.
Perform other duties as assigned.
A university level degree in social work, sociology and/or related field;
At least three years of experience in providing social assistance to vulnerable
At least three years of experience in coordinating with government institutions the
provision of services for vulnerable populations;
Fluency in English and Spanish

S/. 7,000 nuevos soles previous financial and narrative reports
