Dear Friends,
I have the pleasure to send you the following information related with
the organisation of the FINA Water Polo School for Referees in the
Europe in conjunction with the 6 Team Pre-Olympic International
Men's Tournament in Dublin.
The purpose of this course is to achieve the following objectives:
enlarge the number of referees and enhance the quality of
the existing referees;
create a uniform pattern of interpretation and application of
Water Polo rules, thus raising the quality of refereeing;
use the school as an instrument to develop and promote
Water Polo worldwide.
Please note the following information related with the designation &
courses for water polo referees:
For future designation of FINA Water Polo Referees, only the
referees who have passed the final exam and received the
title of “FINA Water Polo Referee” will be selected for FINA
Competitions.
Every two (2) years courses will be organised with
examinations to update the referees who have already
received the title of FINA Water Polo Referee.
The referees who pass the exam and receive the FINA title in
2010 will have their update course in 2012 and the referees
who receive the FINA title in 2011 will have their update
course in 2013.
Please find below the details related with the organisation of
this course:

Schools will be organised that will include FINA Water Polo
Referees seeking to update and also new referees seeking to
become FINA Water Polo Referees.
DATE: Arrival: 5 July 2012
Course: 6-8 July 2012
Departure: 8 July evening or 9 July
2012 in the morning.
PARTICIPANTS: Each National Member Federation may
nominate water polo referees for this
course. The nomination must be received
at the FINA Office in Lausanne (SUI)
before the 18th of June 2012 (please find
the attached Nomination Form).
PLACE: Dublin, Ireland
ARRIVAL AIRPORT: Dublin International Airport
TRAVEL: Each National Federation is responsible
for the travel expenses of the nominated
water polo referees.
ACCOMMODATION: The referees will be accommodated at the
following hotel:
Carlton Hotel Blanchardstown.
Church Road, Tyrellstown,
Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, Ireland
Each National Federation will cover the
accommodation expenses of the
nominated water polo referees. The price
of the accommodation:
Single room:175.00 EUR per night (full
board)
Double room: 140.00 EUR per night and
per person (full board)
Accommodation requests/inquiries shall
be directed to the Irish Water Polo
Association.
MEETING VENUE: Please not that the conference room is at
the Hotel.
PROGRAMME: Please find attached the Programme

LOCAL TRANSPORT: Transfers from and to the airport will be
provided by the OC free of charge for
those accommodated at the official hotel.
