Job Title: Recycle Worker

Type of Work: Maintenance, outside

Job Competencies: Flexible, works with others, self motivated, dependable, works independently,
able to lift 50 lbs

Job Skills: Ability to drive a large box truck.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: Able to operate: box truck to cover designed route, cardboard
bailer and pallet jack; collect and sort recyclable materials; facility and collection point clean up;
general operation tasks as assigned.

Job Restrictions: Must have valid driver’s license; must be able to perform extensive manual labor
in varying situations and weather conditions. Prefer the ability to work early mornings.

Departmental Learning Outcome: Learn various aspects of managing/operating a recycle
program/operation. Learn how to work as a team member and to complete assigned tasks.

Number of available positions: 1

Minimum number of hours required per week: 10 (2 hours per day)

Minimum wage is $7.25 per hour

Per University policy, a student may work up to 20 hours per week.
