Summer Reading Information Sheet
All Rosa Scott students are required to read the novel listed below as a summer reading assignment.
Summer reading should be completed by August 8, 2012. Each student must complete a 5x8 note card
for the novel. The information required on each note card is defined below. Note cards will be
collected for a grade during the student’s first English I/Accelerated English I class. Please be
prepared. In addition to the novel listed below, Accelerated English I students are also responsible for
the two novels listed on the back side of this sheet.

Accelerated English I Students
Summer Reading Information Sheet
The following novels are required reading for Accelerated English I classes at Rosa Scott. These books
must be read by the beginning of school on August 8, 2012. Each student must complete a 5x8 note
card for each novel. The information required on each note card is defined below. Note cards will be
collected on the first day of class. Accelerated English I teachers will schedule reading comprehension
tests for the books during the first week of school. Please be prepared.
In addition to the Accelerated English I summer reading requirements, accelerated students are
responsible for the “All Students” summer reading listed on the other side of this sheet.
