							                         Dry Run 2011 Participant Information

Arrival /Departure Information
Dry Run will begin around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 24. Please plan to arrive on the
University of South Carolina campus by 12:30 p.m. to allow for ample time for check-in.
If you are flying to Columbia, we recommend going through Columbia Metropolitan
Airport (CAE), which is located 15 minutes from campus (@ $20 taxi ride). If you are able
to rent a car, we also recommend looking into Charlotte (CLT) as it is a larger airport
and usually has less expensive flights.

Dry Run will conclude around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27. When booking your
return flight, we recommend that the earliest flight you consider be at 3:00 p.m. This will
allow adequate time for check-out and to arrive at the airport one hour before your
flight’s departure. As you make travel arrangements, please note that Columbia is on
Eastern Daylight Savings time.

Transportation
All necessary transportation once at Dry Run will be provided; however, transportation
to/from campus is not included in the Dry Run registration fee. If you are arriving by
plane, we recommend taking a taxi cab to campus. There is a stand locating outside
Baggage Claim on the lower level of the airport.

If you are renting a car or driving your own, you will need to purchase a parking permit
for the days you are staying on-campus. You will receive your parking pass when you
check-in on Sunday; please bring a check or cash to pay for the permit at that time.

Accommodations
Participant lodging will be in the brand-new Honors Residence Hall on the University of
South Carolina campus. Each is suite-style and has two bedrooms and one restroom per
suite. Linens and towels will be provided.

Meals
Most meals are included in your Dry Run registration; however, be prepared to
purchase one dinner on your own. Breakfast, lunch, and possibly one dinner will be
served at one of the campus dining facilities; other dinners will be at area restaurants.

Other Information
Additional information about Dry Run will be sent to the e-mail address provided
during registration as the conference approaches. We look forward to seeing you at Dry
Run on Sunday, July 24 – Wednesday, July 27. If you have any further questions, please
don’t hesitate to contact us. We look forward to seeing you in South Carolina!
