Outcomes: Click here to enter text. Example: Among caregivers of people with dementia residing in the community does relaxation or music therapy interventions compared to no relaxation or music therapy interventions affect levels of anxiety, depression, and institutionalization? Population: caregivers of people with dementia residing in the community Intervention: relaxation or music therapy interventions Control: no psychosocial interventions Outcomes: anxiety, depression, and institutionalization of person with dementia 4. Background / Rationale a) Why is your research question relevant or important? Please include references to at least 2 RCTs that meet your envisioned eligibility criteria to demonstrate you have done a preliminary literature search that establishes the feasibility of your review. Click here to enter text. Example: Anxiety is common among the caregivers of people with dementia and those with anxiety are also more likely to have poorer physical health and less effective coping styles (1). Research studies and systematic reviews demonstrate the usefulness of relaxation and music therapy for reducing anxiety symptoms among caregivers (e.g.) (2,3). However, it is not clear whether relaxation and music therapy are useful in reducing symptoms among caregivers that reside in the community with their loved ones (versus living apart). A systematic review of the literature of controlled clinical trials may demonstrate whether specific strategies should be targeted toward specific groups of caregivers. Your partner(s) should be committed to help with study selection (title and abstract screening, full text screening) and data abstraction. The time commitment required for your partner(s) will be 10 or more hours depending on the scope of your review. Partners may not have the same research question if both students are taking the course. Name: Click here to enter text. 6.
