We are at the end of the first 3 weeks! Please continue to monitor your student’s progress using parent
portal and contact your child’s teachers as needed with concerns.
Starting on September 17, we will launch our new Universal Tutoring Center for students before and/or
after school in the library. Students will be able to receive assistance from 7:50 am – 8:10 am on all
school days except Wednesdays (due to meetings) or from 3:30 pm – 4:00 pm on Mondays – Thursdays
with homework or classroom concepts. If your child needs this extra boost, please contact your child’s
core content teacher for more information.
Thank you to all who were on campus Tuesday evening for Greenback Night/Open House! Through your
generosity, Garner PTA collected over $4400! Thank you so much for your support of our school. One

We start small conference play this week taking on Nimitz in football and volleyball. Our 8th grade
volleyball teams also have a tournament this weekend at Littleton Gymnasium. Please come out and

There are a couple of events going on throughout NEISD at the high schools that I have been asked to let
you know about. Since Mac played on Thursday Night Lights, their band is eligible for a $5000 grant if
they get the most texts through the TNL contest this fall. All you have to do is text BAND2 to 45203 to
vote. Mac is having their cheerleading clinic on September 30 from 9 am to noon. Madison’s AMP
program is hosting their ag fair on October 5-6. I have attached their flyers to this email if you are
interested in attending.
