DEVELOPMENT & MARKETING ASSOCIATE

and reproductive health. We are seeking candidates for the position of Development & Marketing Associate.
JOB DUTIES: The Development & Marketing Associate will be responsible for all aspects of the Annual Fund
including writing, design, and coordination of mailings throughout the year and will actively
participate in the in the long range planning for increasing gifts to PPRSR. This individual will
play a key role in the marketing of any Endowment and Planned Giving Programs, conduct
prospect identification, cultivation, and solicitation of major donors as appropriate, and
will manage a modest portfolio of assigned mid-level donors. (S)he will provide
necessary oversight and support to selected new and ongoing activities within the department.
Working closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications, this position will also be
responsible for overseeing and implementing marketing communications projects as they
relate to fundraising. This includes updating development pages on www.pprsr.org, writing and
editing articles for the donor newsletter, managing the creation of the annual report and
coordinating fundraising activities sponsored by REAL—PPRSR’s young professional’s group.
(S)he will also assist in the development, planning and execution of special events and
activities throughout the year, including sponsor solicitation.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related major with a minimum of three
years’ experience in the development or marketing field or an equivalent combination of
education and experience is required.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be proficient in using a variety
of communication vehicles to include e-mail and social media networks. Knowledge in the use
of fundraising software is desirable. Experience in graphic design and website management
software is preferred. Interested candidates should provide samples of projects they have
worked on (writing, graphic design, website development, etc.).
The ability to work a flexible schedule and travel anywhere within PPRSR’s region where
stakeholders and donors reside is required. A commitment to providing services to a diverse
range of clients and to the goals of Planned Parenthood is essential.
WORK SCHEDULE: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday with flexibility to adjust schedule to support
agency events as needed.
STARTING SALARY: $33,075 - $40,682
