PASTOR'S BIBLE STUDY CONTINUES
The Pastor's Bible Study will be held on Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m. thru August 1.
(Note: No study on July 4.) As before, the text for the study will be the one to be read and
preached from on the following Sunday morning. In addition to the opportunity to explore the
text in depth, participants have found the Bible Study to connect with and understand Sunday's
message. Texts for the Bible study (and following week's sermon) are published on the front
page of the FCCO Website (www.fccorange.com) on Mondays. This coming week's text is
James 1:17-25. All are welcome!

A MUSICAL THANK YOU TO
THE FCCO CHOIRS AND MUSICIANS
Dean Shepherd, Minister of Music
A BIG musical thank you to all the FCCO Choirs for an inspiring year of music making!
Kudos to Jazmine Harnishfeger and her Youth and Children's Choirs for providing fun and
musical moments throughout the year as well as a fabulously entertaining Variety Show!
Blessings to the Orange Pealers and Chancel Ringers for their expert ringing --- your
martellatos, thumb damps, ring touches, tower swings and singing bell techniques dazzled and
inspired us like Cirque du Soleil --- thank you!
Many thanks to the FCCO Chancel Choir for their weekly dedication to creating beautiful and
powerful music, everything from heart moving ballads to soul arousing, foot tapping upbeat
anthems of Praise! You bless all our lives in tangible and intangible ways!
A drumroll of thanks to the FCCO Band for instilling our songs, hymns and special anthems with
rhythmic and instrumental support, sparking them to life with color and rhythmic intensity!
As we move into this summer time of rest and refreshment, I would like to leave you with these
immortal words:
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his/her hand.
(An Old Irish Blessing)

JULY’S RECIPIENT OF OUR BUCKET CHANGE IS PUCK
Our own Tim and Angelique Ringgold are leaders in Pioneering
Unique Cures for Kids (PUCK) recognizes that curing a rare disease lacks
the mass appeal that brings with it public awareness and funding. As a
parent-driven initiative of Children's Cancer Research Fund, rare genetic
diseases now have a voice in the private sector to help support the limited
government funding available to these "orphan diseases."
By teaming up with the research team at the University of Minnesota, PUCK provides
research funding to the doctors and on-the-ground local support to the patients who are
together transforming incurable diseases into curable ones, one child, and one disease at a
time.
As you empty your pockets and purses at the end of your day, please remember that each
Sunday our Acolytes are at Sanctuary exits holding a bucket to receive your donations.

ALL WOMEN OF THE CHURCH ARE INVITED FOR LUNCH

by going to Lone Star Steakhouse in Tustin, for lunch on Thursday, July 12, at 11:30 AM.
