Overview:
Panasonic Europe Ltd is the headquarters for all Panasonic activities in Europe. Panasonic Europe and
Panasonic UK’s Headquarters are based within Bracknell. The HR Team is part of our UK based
Shared Services function, that work to deliver business support to Panasonic’s commercial entities
within the UK. The Panasonic Europe and UK headquarters consist of approximately 600 staff spread
over two sites.


Role Purpose:
To manage recruitment of all industrial placement roles from confirming job descriptions through
advertising and interviewing to onboarding. Active involvement the day to day HR administration within
Panasonic UK and Europe including ad hoc project work.


Outline of Duties:
      You will be solely responsible for the Recruitment and Selection of the Industrial
       Placement Students for 2013/2014 and will co-ordinate all aspects of the process
           Preparation for, and maintaining a presence at, careers fairs
           Liaising with managers in the recruitment/selection process of students
           Management of advertising placements and applications/responses
           Arrangement and involvement with interviews and assessment centres

      Management of the administration side of Panasonic’s Flexible Benefits system

      Management of HR page and company-wide bulletins on Panasonic’s intranet (KMP)

      Recruitment & Selection:
           Coordinate current vacancies
           Co-Manage Recruitment Portal upkeep and applications
           Arrange and conduct interviews, design and coordinate assessment centres

      Organisation of, and where applicable carrying out of, exit interviews and probation meetings
       using the Lotus Notes system

      General administration:
           Updating current databases and PC Systems
           Preparing contracts and other required documentation

      Ad-hoc projects throughout the year
           Previous projects have included internal management of Olympics in terms of employee
             engagement within the business

Person Specification:

Essential Skills

      Motivated self-starter with flexible attitude
      Excellent communication skills with the ability to establish a rapport with people at various levels
      Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office, Internet and quick to learn new systems
      Organisation and attention to detail
      Effective time management skills and ability to meet targets

Desirable Skills

      Experience of working in a confidential environment
      Creative thinker able to approach tasks with “fresh eyes”
      Driving licence preferable
