Volunteer Request                  For students, grades 7-12
Judges                             Students in grades 7-12, are able to pursue their interest in Science, Technology,
    March 16                       Engineering and Math (STEM) by participating in the Intel Affiliated Contra Costa

                                   Projects are reviewed by a Scientific Review Committee (SRC) responsible for
On site logistics                  approving the science projects submitted for the competition. Use the Application

    March 16                       Call for Judges
    7 a.m. – 11 a.m.
                                   Approximately 120 professionals will be needed to judge projects submitted in six
    10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
                                   categories: behavioral/social studies sciences, biological science, engineering,
    2 p.m. – 6 p.m.                environmental sciences, math and computer science, and physical sciences. Judges
    Los Medanos College            examine the quality of each project, and how well the student understands the project
                                   and area of study.
    March 17
    7 a.m. – 12 noon               Judges contribute an important ingredient in validating students efforts in this
    Los Medanos College            educational and motivating experience. The interviews allow students to demonstrate
                                   the knowledge that they've gained by completing the project. For judges this, too, is a                     rewarding experience.

                                   Call for Volunteers                  Volunteers are needed to collate judging materials, assist students on set-up
