Ontario Native Literacy Coalition “Empowering the Spirit, Ensuring Survival” Call for Provincial Project Evaluator The Ontario Native Literacy Coalition is seeking an Evaluator for its project Journey of Learning: 2009 ONLC Provincial Practitioner Training Conference This position involves an independent review of the project process and the quality, relevance, and efficacy of the resulting conference and training offered. This contract position is linked directly to the project timelines. It will commence July 2009 and conclude at the end of June 2010 with the majority of the workload expected to take place between the summer of 2009 and early 2010. Responsibilities: Review the project deliverables and develop clear and realistic project goals Work closely with the project coordinator/manager develop specific, measurable project objectives and success indicators Review all training and support resources created during the process of this project Develop effective and appropriate data collection tools Contact Native LBS agencies to conduct evaluation survey Analyse the data and prepare an evaluation overview for the Ontario Native Literacy Coalition Prepare and submit a final project evaluation report within established timelines Knowledge and Expertise: Experience conducting an evaluation on a minimum of two projects within the literacy field Experience with, and good working knowledge of, community-based literacy programs Knowledge of Native culture and evaluation experience within the Native stream would be considered definite assets Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in computer applications, particularly word processing and email Salary: Commensurate with experience, knowledge and skills Please mail, fax or email a résumé stating your qualifications and financial expectations to: Ellen Paterson, Executive Director Ontario Native Literacy Coalition 946 Third Avenue East Commercial Unit 3 Owen Sound, ON N4K 2K9 Fax: (519) 371-5598 Email: firstname.lastname@example.org Deadline for applications: July 29, 2009 (before 4:00 p.m.) Individuals of Aboriginal ancestry are encouraged to apply.
