CONCLUSIONS, RECOMMENDATIONS AND
SUGGESTIONS FOR FURTHER STUDIES
In the light of the present study, the researcher has concluded that:
1.The improvement in the achievement of the experimental group over the
control group led to the conclusion that within the limits of the design and
implementation procedures of the study, teaching grammar through
“MCALL” proved to be more effective and useful for the EFL pupils, than
through traditional teaching “ALM”.
2.The results of this study conclude that MCALL can learn EFL as in real life
by integrating the four basic skills of language.
3.The results show that Computer technology has created an impact on
education especially in language learning and teaching because it makes
teaching more interactive, enjoyable, and interesting.
4.The researcher concludes that MCALL can enhance students’ motivation and
attitudes in using the English Language and can assist the acquisition of
The researcher recommends the following:
1. Concerning the Computer- Assisted Language Learning
Emphasis should be placed on using computer as an element in all
schools of Iraq, in both intermediate and secondary education and English
curriculum designers are advised to employ MCALL designing materials of
grammar in all levels of education with emphasis on secondary level.
2. Concerning the Teacher
Teachers most be trained to learn using computer and help them to be
in contact with CALL field of teaching English. The teachers who teach the
secondary level should follow an effective, enjoyable and accurate way
through presenting English activities because this might lead towards
developing pupils achievement and giving teachers freedom to select the
material tasks of the CD program which are suitable for their own classes.
3. Concerning the Student
The interest of learners is an important factor that influences their
achievement, therefore, selection of method should be based on student’s
interest. Training students to interact with computer and helps them to be
familiar with the field of CALL.
6.3 Suggestions for Further Studies
Based on the conclusions and findings of the study, some suggestions are
put forward :
1. A study may be conducted to show, the effective of using MCALL in
teaching other language skills: reading comprehension, writing composition,
