					          PROCEDURES FOR REPORTING ATHLETIC VIOLATIONS


STEP 1: Schools will first attempt to work out the situation with each other.

          **If the situation involves a fight or altercation proceed to STEP 2 and
          Notify the MIAA immediately.

          Coaches will report the incident to their principal and athletic director.
          Next, the administrator from school “A” will contact the administrator
          from school “B” to handle the violation or incident that took place.

          **THE MIAA MUST BE NOTIFIED OF THE SITUATION. Copy the
          MIAA on all email communication between the schools.

          If an agreement on how to handle the situation cannot be agreed
          upon between the schools, both schools will continue with STEP 2.

STEP 2: Both schools will fill out an ATHLETIC COMPLIANCE REPORT
        with a statement of facts to the alleged violation. The reporting school
        must include circumstances and all relevant proof confirming the
        alleged violations. The principal at each school must be aware of this
        issue and have a copy of this report.

         The Academic Compliance Report can be found on the MCS website:
         www.mcsk12.net You can find the MIAA website from there by clicking
         on the STUDENTS or PARENTS link.

          The report should be submitted to the MIAA office by e-mail to
          Karen Hodges (Athletic Coordinator I)
          hodgesk@mcsk12.net by 12:00 p.m. on the following day of the
          incident.

STEP 3: The MIAA staff will review the Athletic Compliance Reports and
        respond to all parties involved immediately.
