					                         INDUCTION REQUIREMENTS
   BTSA Induction Standard 15: K-12 Core Academic Content and Subject Specific
                                    Pedagogy

All assignments from the staff development trainings included in this standard must be
completed according to the guidelines stated in the class to be accepted for completion.

  15 a,b,h          1. Attend all required BTSA staff development
                        (Attendance report generated by the BTSA office will be attached)

  15 b,f,d,g,h      2. Verification of the PT’s
                        Attendance at grade/department meetings and use of adopted materials and texts
                        Regular use of district adopted texts and materials and attendance at district/site grade level or
                            department meetings
                         Completion of all required progress reports, parent conferences, and report cards
                        (Site Administrator’s signature will be required)



  15 a,b            3. Write a summary reflective essay following completion of CFASST Event
                       12 which documents
                        The PT’s professional growth
                        Increased ability to teach students in a manner consistent with The California
                            Standards for the Teaching Profession and beyond what was demonstrated for the
                            preliminary credential.
  15 c,e,g,h        4. Compile a portfolio of evidence that includes:
                                Lesson plans which include evidence of appropriate differentiation. Lesson plans may, at the
                                 PT’s discretion, come from work done in the following classes, CFASST or other detailed
                                 lesson plans.
                                A log documenting professional trainings during the induction program
                                A log of phone calls or parent meetings
                                Copies of at least two additional methods of regular parent communication such as class
                                 newsletters, individual postcards, phone calls, emails, a website, letters home, etc.
                                Evidence of effective use of instructional time such as curricular plan, daily schedule, etc.

                            (Director of Education’s signature will be required)




NOTE: To fully meet standard 15 the PT must also:
  1. Complete all CFASST events as verified by the assigned SP
  2. Complete all requirements to meet induction standards 16-20
