Bioinformatics Research (2008-present): Write scripts and run analyses for a biology
lab. Since the summer of 2009, I've been designing and running tests to compare a
number of different algorithms.
Wesleying (2010-present): Maintain web presence. Optimized site to handle upwards
of 8,000 hits a day on a 256MB RAM VPS. Increased YSlow score to 80s. The blog's
biggest month of all time was February 2011, the first full month I was hosting it.
Argus Information & Advisory Services (summer 2010): As an intern, I wrote SQL
code to prepare reports on millions of individual credit card records.
Teacher’s Assistant (2010): Conducted help sessions and graded written and
programming problem sets for a Data Structures class.
Wesleyan Instructional Media Services (2007 - present): Assist students at the
Wesleyan computer labs. Since January 2009, I've been managing the consultants of
two of the seven labs on campus.
The New Confusion (2010): Built Wordpress theme and custom code.
Wesleyan University (class of 2011): Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science,
certificate in Bioinformatics. Current GPA: 3.7
Freeman Asian Scholarship: Four-year full tuition scholarship.
