                                        DETAIL REQUIREMENTS
                                      Net Defense Firewall Engineer
Education: Net Defense Firewall Engineer must possess a Bachelor of Science/Arts Degree in
Information Systems or Computer Science and two (2) years direct experience in the field or a minimum
of four (4) years of direct experience in the field.
Specialized Certification: Required: Certification in any two DoD approved Firewall Platforms, (Cisco
PIX/ASA, Juniper Netscreen, Checkpoint NGX, McAfee Sidewinder, SANS Institute GCFW). Highly
Desired: ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), any SANS Institute GIAC
certification, any Cisco Professional Level certification, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISM)
certification is preferred
Specialized Experience: Required: Minimum two (2) years experience using and maintaining a
commercially accepted firewall and firewall management platform
Highly Desired:
o Experience with VPN, SSL, other encryption methodology / technology.
o Three to five years experience with one or more of the preferred firewall platforms, Check Point CCSE,
Juniper Networks JNCIS-FWV or Cisco CCSP or GIAC GCFW
o Experience / Knowledge of Cisco NIDS devices; Experience / Knowledge of Cisco; Security Agents;
Experience / Knowledge of Cisco Pix; Experience / Knowledge of SourceFire NIDS or Snort IDS.
o Knowledge of Linux, TCP/IP, UNIX, NT, IP Routing.
Security Clearance: Current U.S. SECRET clearance required.
Special Requirements: Comply with DoD 8570.01-M, IA Workforce Certification Level: Information
Assurance Technical (IAT-II).
                                       DETAIL REQUIREMENTS
                               Enterprise Services Active Directory Architect
Education: Minimum of Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science or Mathematics or
related field of study and three (3) years direct experience in the field or a minimum of six (6) years direct
experience in the field.
Specialized Certification: Required: Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE). Desired:
Microsoft Certified IT Professional
Specialized Experience: Required: Minimum of three (3) years experience in the following areas:
o Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory.
o Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Group Policy. Desired: Minimum of two (5) years
experience in the following
o Working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange
o Working knowledge of Microsoft ISA Server.
o Working knowledge of Kerberos and Windows Authentication, to include Authentication with other
technologies such as Web Filtering, Collaboration, Web Portals, etc.
o Working knowledge of PKI, digital certifications, & security tokens.
o Visual Basic, scripting or Visual Basic experience.
o Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) and Systems Center
Configuration Manager (SCCM)
o Working knowledge of Active Directory Federated Services (ADFS)
Security Clearance: Current U.S. SECRET clearance required.
Special Requirements: Comply with DoD 8570.01-M, IA Workforce Certification Level: Information
Assurance Technical (IAT-II).
                                       DETAIL REQUIREMENTS
  Enterprise Services Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) / Technical Vulnerability Assessment (TVA)
                                                 Engineer
Education: Minimum of Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science or Mathematics and a
minimum of two(2) years direct experience in the field or a minimum of five (5) years direct experience
in the field.
Specialized Certification: Required: Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).
Specialized Experience:
Required: Minimum of 2 years specific experience with the following:
o PKI technology support across multiple operating systems.
o Certificate Authority and Certificate Revocation Authority Services.
o Working knowledge of Smart Card, Entrust TruePass, HSPD-12 support
o LDAP servers and External PKI Active Directory environments.
Desired:
o Minimum of 5 years experience in installation and support of information security solutions.
o Use of advanced analytic techniques for identification of security event details. Advanced
understanding of security practices and available technologies, current products
o Work host encryption at the network level.
o Installation and maintenance of communication and encryption technology options (VPN, SSL, Whole
Disk, PKI, User and File-based, etc.)
Security Clearance: Current U.S. SECRET clearance required.
Special Requirements: Comply with DoD 8570.01-M, IA Workforce Certification Level: Information
Assurance Technical (IAT-II).
                                       DETAIL REQUIREMENTS
                         Information Assurance Policy Enforcement Auditing
Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or Mathematics or a related
field of study and minimum of two (2) years direct experience in the field or a minimum of 4 years direct
experience in the field.
Specialized Certification: At least one of the following is required - Certified Information Systems
Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager Practitioner (SSCP), or GIAC
Systems and Network Auditor (GSNA).
Specialized Experience: Required:
o A minimum of three (3) years experience in Information Assurance Policy Enforcement required.
o Must have documented training in the Department of Defense IA Certification and Accreditation
Process (DIACAP).
Security Clearance: Current U.S. Secret clearance required.
Special Requirements: Comply with DoD 8570.01-M, IA Workforce Certification Level: Information
Assurance Technical (IAT-II).
