* Select [System Configuration]

* Select [Configure Switch Stack]

* Check the Boot PROM (PROM code) and
  Firmware (Runtime code) versions before the upgrading process.

* Select [Configure IP Address]

* Configure the Switch’s IP address and Subnet Mask.

* Select [Update Firmware and Configuration Files]

* Key in the computer’s (executing TFTP software) IP address.
* “Enable” the [Use Config File:] option.
* Key in the Config File’s (Text file) path.
* Do not select [REBOOT TO START UPDATE] option yet.

* Go back to the [Main Menu] and select [Save Changes].

* You should see the above, while the Switch is saving the new settings.

* Select the folder that you keep the “Firmwares”. (Example: C:\Temp)
* Select and double-click the “Config file”.
  (Example: DES3624.txt)
* If you do not have this “DES3624.txt” file:
 Right-click in the right panel of the Windows
  Explorer, (the place where the right hand side red
  arrow is) and a “Shortcut” menu will appear.
 Select [New]  [Text Document]
  (picture on the right).
 Continue on the next page (page 12 of 23).

* Key in the above accordingly.
* Ensure that there are two “#” at the beginning of the last 2 lines.
* Save this file (Example: DES3624), and the “Notepad” (the above
  software) will add a “.txt” (file’s extension) behind automatically.

* Execute the “TFTP Server” program, and you will see the TFTP
  program appear.
* Note: There are a few TFTP Server program available in the market.
        The above (shown) is one of the TFTP Server program.

* Go to the [Upgrade Firmware and Configuration Files]
* Select [REBOOT TO START UPDATE] option now.

* You will see the above, while the Switch restart.

* Open the “Config file” (example: DES3624.txt) again.
* Modify the file according to the above.
* Ensure that there are two “#” at the beginning of the first 2 lines.
* Save this file using [File] menu  [Save].
* Note: Not [Save As].

* Select [Update Firmware and Configuration Files]

* “Enable” the [Use Config File:] option.
* Select [System Configuration]

* You will see the above, while the Switch restart.
