Welcome Friends & Family to my Team In Training home page.

I will be running 26.2 miles on November 12 in the San Antonio Marathon as a Team
in Training (TNT) member for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. TNT is the
largest national fund-raiser for the Society. TNT has been a part of raising $464
million in research since 1949. At the present time there are approximately 198,257
people living with leukemia in the United States. In 2005 alone, 22,000 people died
of Leukemia. The most common form is in children under the age of 19. There are so
many families suffering with these diseases and It is my mission to help support this
cause and run for a cure to be found!

As I fight sore muscles, blisters, aches and pains for the next 5 months I need all of
your help to raise money for the fight to find a cure for these awful Blood Cancers.
This is a tax deductible contribution to the Team in Training program which will go
directly to patient aid, research, and treatment. I am on a dead line and need to
reach the goal of $500 by August 23 and $2000 by October 29 so just remember,
however, that NO DONATION IS TOO SMALL.

If you would like to make a donation through the mail make checks payable to The
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and send them to: 547 Willow Grove Drive, San
Antonio, TX 78245

My heart, soul and passion will help me accomplish this goal, but accomplishing the
fundraising goal wouldn’t be possible without all of your generous donations.

I couldn’t thank all of you enough for your support. It means so much to me to have
you there in spirit and thought to help me cross that finish line!!!
I hope you check back to my website and see my progress through my journey of
training and the BIG run in November!!

For everyone that donates, your name will go in a drawing for a Homemade Vermont
Quilt made by my MOM!!!

Training Update

Saturday 7/1 was our first season practice which went great! Practice was at 6am
and we ran 3 miles. It has been so motivating to have everyones support!! I'm
already more then half way to my fundraising goal! That is AWESOME!! Thanks to all
of you who have donated! I couldn't do this without your generous support!

Saturday 7/8 - Todays practice was 4 miles! This past week my neighbors Danielle &
Pablo and I got up in the mornings to go on our daily run for 30 minutes, Tuesdays
are our days of crosstraining so we go to the gym and ride the bike for an hour!
Thursday night we had a nutrition Clinic which we all got some suppliments to help
out aching bodies!! So far training is going great!!!

Saturday 7/15 This morning we were up and out the door at 5:30am to run 6 miles.
It was a humid morning but we made it through with no problems!! My husband,
Brian and I went out Wednesday night mountain bike riding so that was a great
change from the running and fun too!! Training is going great, a few blisters but
nothing serious!! Until next week!!

Saturday 7/22 Today was our 8 Mile run with a few tough hills mixed in!! It was a
nice run but hot and humid as usual. This week we bumped up to 45 minute runs
during the week so that has helped us get ready for the long runs on Saturday. Next
Saturday we'll be in double digits!! Until then.....

8/5 The Last two weeks we were in double digits for milage. This week was 12 miles
and it was a very muggy morning. Danielle and I finished in 2 and a half hours. We
had water stops every two miles so that helps with hydration and a bit of a rest!! My
legs weren't too sore today but I could feel it!! Next week will be a 10 miler so a bit
less then this week! Until Then Thanks for checking in on my training!!
