Graduated from Ball State in 2000 with a B.S. in

My husband is also a teacher.

I teach a new lesson every 1-2 days

Math Their Way
Patterning, sorting, matching, one-to-one correspondence
After 6 weeks we expand on topics
A new packet will be sent home each Monday (or the
first day of the week)
It will be checked on Friday and then is yours to keep.
It is suggested that you complete it each evening to
get your child in the routine of completing homework.
Sent home on Monday each week.
Read aloud with your child, pointing to each word, then
have them read it to you each night
Return Friday to receive a new book
Replacement cost is $4.00
Wear proper Gym shoes
Library books due each week, read them to your child
at least twice while they have them
Art, Music, Technology
Coupon, problem solving question, parent tip, manipulatives,
calendar, pictures, science homework
Good or bad phone calls
I will post classroom lessons, pictures and recordings for you
to listen to and watch
There will also be sound clips and videos to watch with your
child if you feel they need re-teaching in a specific area.
Working with Purdue school of Science this school year.
All lessons will incorporate the “5 E model” (Engage,
Elaborate, Explain, Explore, Evaluate)
We will discuss your child’s progress in Kindergarten up
to that point.
Discuss strengths, weaknesses, concerns, and goals

We will need parents to go with us…watch the

There is a parent volunteer board where there is a
calendar for you to sign up for a time to come in.
Directions are on the board to tell you specifically what
to do with the children when you come in to have fun
How to help your child Succeed!
Read with them 20 minutes EACH DAY, and let them see you
Help them with their homework/Baggie Book
