ASSISTANT TELECOMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
STAFFORD COUNTY, VIRGINIA

SALARY: $38,958.40 - $65,436.80 annually.


The Stafford Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for the position
of Assistant Telecommunications Manager.               Duties include
overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Emergency
Communications Center for Sheriff, Fire, and Rescue. Candidate will
exercise supervision of all personnel assigned to the center, ensure
compliance with state-mandated training requirements as set forth by
the Department of Criminal Justice, prepare and enforce policies and
procedures as applicable, and attend and facilitate meetings
pertaining to the Emergency Communications Center and its
operations. Candidate must possess the ability to communicate
effectively in writing, as well as verbally. Position reports to the
Telecommunications Manager.

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to
graduation from high school and considerable experience in
Fire/Rescue and Law Enforcement Emergency Communications
Center operations. Must have no less than 5 years of experience
working as a Telecommunicator in a Communications Center. Must
be certified by the Department of Criminal Justice Services.
Preference will be given to candidates who have supervisory
experience.

Salary is negotiable based on candidate’s specific knowledge
and experience.
