2012 Western Summer Camp
Location: The camp will be held in the Riverside Rec Center in Idaho, ID. 451 River
Dates: The camp begins on Wednesday morning, June 13, and will run through Saturday,
June 16. The first seminar will be at 08:30 on Wednesday. There will four seminars a day at
8:30, 10:30, 1:30, and 3:30 Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Saturday we will have the
morning seminar followed by black belt promotions and demonstrations starting at 10:30 am.
Camp Fees: Camp fees are $25.00 per day for CDK-USA members; $30 per day for non-
members. Two or more days are required for a free t-shirt. Fees must be paid prior to
attending any seminar.

Meals: You are on your own. There are several options available near the camp location.
Getting to Idaho Falls: Idaho Falls is about 3:30 hours north of Salt Lake City on I-15. Salt
Lake is a hub for Delta and is also serviced by Southwest Airlines. Car rentals are available
and there is a shuttle service available - http://www.saltlakeexpress.com/ Round trip is about
$70.00. If you take the shuttle please let us know so we can pick you up. If you choose, you
can fly directly into Idaho Falls. We can pick you up at the Idaho Falls airport.
Black Belt Testing: Only black belt testing will be conducted at camp. Instructors - please
let us know no later than thirty (30) days ahead of time who is testing and for which Dan. This
lead time is necessary to get belts ordered and certificates generated. All testing fees must
be paid prior to the test. Testees membership in ChungDoKwan USA must be current.
End of Camp Dinner: On Friday, following the last seminar, there will be a no-host dinner at
a local restaurant. (approximately $10.00 per person). This is not included in the camp
Being a Tourist Before or After Camp –
There are significant recreational/tourist opportunities around the area. Here is a list of some

Lava Hot Springs – We will have nightly car pools to the hot springs.

Comments on the Camp.
This is a high altitude, 4800ft elevation, training camp. The seminars will be physically
demanding. You will receive significant one on one instruction from Master level
practitioners. All participants should be able to engage in rigorous physical training. If you
have any physical problems, we recommended you obtain a thorough physical from your
physician and their approval to attend camp.
The minimum age for camp is 16 years – Any minors attending must be accompanied by a
parent or legal guardian.
This camp is organized and conducted for the purpose of developing ChungDoKwan skills
and enhancing personal physical, mental and spiritual growth.
Pets – No pets are allowed in the Riverside Rec Center.
