									           LOFTEK IP Camera Quickstart Guide 1 – Initial Setup




Step 1: Power on and connect the IP Camera to your router.

Step 2a: Insert the included CD and open 'Bsearch_en'

(IPCMonitor_en can be installed later and is not necessary)

Step 2b: Click 'Search' to find the IP Camera you connected with your router.

Step 2c: Input the necessary device information for the IP Camera on the
right-hand side of the 'Bsearch_en' interface. The left side of the interface
displays your local PC's information.

As shown in figure 2, you must input the following information:

IP address: The first three segments should be the same as your local PC,
and the last segment must be different from your local PC's, for which the
number you input should be 1-254 and not the same as another device in the
LAN. (This number will be used later and should be written down or otherwise
noted).

Subnet mask: Copy from left.

Gateway: Copy from left.

DNS: Copy from left.

Http port: Any number from 1025 to 65536 (This number will be used later
and should be written down or otherwise noted).

Account for watching: admin by default; printed on the bottom of the device
Password for watching: 123456 by default; printed on the bottom of the
device

Step 2d: After inputting all of the above information, click 'Update' and wait for
the camera to restart.

Step 3a: After the camera has restarted, click 'Search' again. Note that the
settings have been saved, and then click 'Browse'. A browser window will
automatically open.




Step 3b: Input the user name and password from step 2c.

Step 3c: Select one of the modes according to your browser.

(For the first use, Internet Explorers users should click 'Download' and install
the 'DVM_IPCam' plug-in.)

Step 3d: After completing the above steps, the browser will display the live
feed as shown in figure 4 below.
