Sales Expert: Africa/ Asia/ Europe/Latin America Firm Type: Travel & Tourism Location: Toronto Type of Position: Full time Are you a top-notch sales person that is most comfortable on the phone closing business and is motivated by surpassing monthly sales targets? Do you possess detailed knowledge of hotels, attractions and transport to offer expert advice and craft customized itineraries? We are currently seeking Senior Sales specialists with a deep knowledge and passion for all regions of the world, including Europe, Africa, Asia, Latin America and North America for openings in Toronto, ON, Miami, FL and Santa Ana, CA. You will work as part of a regional team, responsible both for selling direct to customers and to agencies. In this role you will: Deliver fantastic customer service through: Building and sending out first quotes in response to client and agent requests for trips using state of the art proprietary software which creates immense efficiencies and provides a vast wealth of client-ready content Following up on existing quotes by phone and email and answering questions Executing pro-active sales strategies, (emails and phone), using traveler database information Communicating with clients, invoicing clients, collecting final payments, processing bookings and issuing documents Coordinating with the supporting Air department for client flight needs Selling travel insurance which is integrated into the quote and is fully automated Post trip follow up with clients, suppliers and finance department Develop innovative new travel products by: Working with suppliers around the world to define new, custom trips Controlling the quality of existing trip itineraries and ensure they are up to date and relevant With your 3+ years of experience within the travel industry, preferably with experience in luxury and bespoke itineraries, you can demonstrate the following competencies: Deep experience in the travel industry In-depth knowledge or travel experience within a region Successfully developing new product and itineraries that receive stellar customer feedback Knowledge of Amadeus, Sabre or other GDS also useful but not necessary Strong sales orientation Loves selling travel and is motivated by a target-driven environment. Must be able to show an ability to reach and surpass quotas. Is creative, detailed and takes pride in the process of executing trips around the world flawlessly, as well as having the problem-solving and interpersonal skills to successfully resolve issues as they (inevitably) arise. Excellent research, planning and organizational skills with the ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple files simultaneously Self-starter with the ability to make decisions and action any customer requests with confidence and professionalism Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, that influence customers to purchase through a professional and mature demeanor Reliable team player Has a dynamic, outgoing personality and enjoys the process of effecting change Is a team player and is willing to help out where needed Strong work ethic – focused on deadlines and not hours Has the ability to work under pressure, be motivated and show initiative Is computer literate with Word, Excel and Power Point and can demonstrate their ability to learn new tools rapidly.
