							                       Latin America Research Project
The country you will research is ________________________________
     You will research your country on-line, and with reference materials
       from the Media Center.
     You will need to use at least three different resources.
     The following are suggested topics to research:
       Economy            Way of Life           History
       Government         Religion              Natural Resources
       Agriculture        Education             Geography
       Customs            Culture               Climate
NOTE: If you find a topic that you would like to research and it is not
listed, check with the teacher to see if it is acceptable.
    You must research a total of eight topics. As you research on the
     computer, look for pictures and save them to your file (you will need
     to insert pictures in you PowerPoint).
          take notes (at least 4 pages of notes).
    You will create a PowerPoint presentation.
    Set your Slides of your PowerPoint as follows:
     Slide 1 – Title (Be creative with your title i.e. “Haiti the Land of
     Hardships.”) DO NOT just write the name of the country. “Haiti”.
     Also, put your name on this title page.
     Slide 2 – Write a well-developed sentence introducing your country
       (don’t say “I researched Cuba and here it is”).
     Your next slides will be on your eight chosen topics. You must have
      at least five facts on each topic. You may use more than one slide
      for each topic.
     You will have to include pictures in your PowerPoint; however, each
      slide does not have to have a picture. Pictures could be of the
      countryside, people, architecture, and anything relevant and
      appropriate to the country.
     Your last slide needs to be your bibliography page. You need site all
      your sources in correct bibliographic format.
