Lined curtains – 10th July                                         £65.00 + £5.00 Kit Cost
Planning, measuring, and estimating fabric. Learn to make lined and unlined curtains, explore the
many different types of headings, make a sample curtain to use as a reference for future
projects.


Trouser making (myo) - 25th July                                                        £65.00
Techniques for making trousers that fit, including the correct way to measure, pattern adaptation
and construction methods. You will make a pair of trousers of your choice. An ideal day for those
who have completed the trouser fitting course.


Modern heirloom blouse 2 day (myo) – 27th/28th July                                       £140.00
This blouse is created from a range of heirloom techniques which are stunning in their simplicity.
A basic blouse pattern is transformed into a work of art. You can even make your own
embroidered lace! Bring 2mts of plain cotton batiste, lawn or voile in your choice of colour.


Beginners part 1 (learn the basics) - 1st September                    £65.00 + £5.00 Kit Cost
Start as you mean to continue. Learn all the commonly used seams, hems and finishes,
understand how to read patterns. This course is for complete beginners and those wishing to
return to sewing. Knowing the basics, having a range of techniques at your finger tips will give
you the confidence to start the first of your many sewing projects. Reignite your passion for
sewing!


Jeans day (myo) - 4th September                                                          £65.00
Jeans come in all fabrics, shapes and sizes. Denim, suede look, corduroy, chino cotton whichever
fabric you choose create the perfect jeans for you. Bring your pattern and fabric leave with a pair
of unique jeans.


Jersey jacket Embroidery Day – 11th September                                          £100.00
For those of you who have admired my embroidered jacket this is a chance for you to have a go
at making your own. You can follow my pattern or you can choose an unlined jacket/cardigan
pattern. There are lots of variations. The idea is you get an opportunity to do some embroidery.

weekend for you. In beautiful surroundings with all your needs catered for.....no

Pattern adaptation - 9th October                                        £65.00 + £5.00 Kit Cost
Want to make that dress you saw on the catwalk? Can’t find a pattern? Learn how to turn your
existing patterns into the latest fashions. We will cover dart manipulation, redrawing seams,
lengthening and shortening, changing the shape of the garment to update your look. Great
follow on for those that have done the fitting course.


Speed tailored jacket or coat 2 days (myo) - 26th/27th October                             £150.00
Choose your fabric and lining create a tailored piece that you will be proud to say “I made it”
Work with fusible interlinings. Learn the easy way to a perfect notched collar. Set in sleeves with
ease, using the magic sleeve wrap and sleeve head.


Beginners part 2 (make a simple garment) – 31st October                                  £65.00
Following on from the basic beginners course, now is the time to put all that knowledge into
practice. Bring your fabric, make a simple garment of your choice. Get all the help you need to
make something you will be proud to wear.


Boned bodice 2 days (myo) – 9th/10th November                                            £150.00
Make a beautiful boned bodice in a fabric of your choice. Get the perfect fit and shape for you.
Learn how to bone, contour canvas, piping and rouleux techniques.


Roman blinds – 21st November                                        £65.00 + £5.00 Kit Cost
A close look at roman blinds, see what’s new. We discuss design, measuring, making and
hanging. No more tangled and broken cords. Make a sample blind to use as a reference for your
future projects.


Weekender bag (myo) – 24th November                                    £70.00 + £20.00 Kit Cost
This is a beautiful roomy bag ideal for that weekend break, large enough for everything you need
but small enough to carry easily. Made in quilting cotton or furnishing cotton with fusible
wadding and decorative lining. Bring 1.20mts of main fabric and lining add the kit and some
intermediate sewing skills to create a unique bag. (Kit incl. piping, zip, base, feet, handles
and tubing)


FIT TO Finish (Two days £150) – 7th/8th December                                           £150.00
This is a must do 2 days if you want perfect fitting garments. Using a commercial pattern you will
be personally fitted for a top and skirt. Learn to read the signs of a bad fit and how to correct it.
At the end of this two-day workshop you will leave with a manual, commercial pattern and a toile
that fits.


10am Zips and 2pm buttonholes – 11th December                       £39. Half day or £70 full day
Come for the whole day or choose am or pm. The morning session 10am-12.30pm will be all
about zips. How to insert them, the different types of zip available and their uses. The afternoon
session 2pm – 4.30pm buttonholes galore, there are many variations. Make samples to use for
future reference.
