catering business where she worked with corporate
and private customers, including brides. She has
traveled extensively producing corporate events
and product launches for clients such as DuPont,
Philip Morris and Chevrolet. In her capacity as
the Special Events Coordinator at VisArts, Karen
orchestrates all fundraising events, including the
venerable Craft + Design Show at the Science
Museum of Virginia. In addition to her extensive
network with vendors in the community, Karen
brings a sense of organization and calm to each
event - no matter what the size or type.

Catering: An approved catering list is available.
Alcohol may be served only by approved caterers
with a copy of their current liquor license and
certificate of liability insurance on file. The Visual
Arts Center does not carry an ABC license.
Other Amenities: While studios, offices and
private artist’s studios are not open during
events, we are happy to offer a menu of artist
demonstrations and guided activities you may
include for your guests for an additional fee. If
the exhibition schedule allows, we can make the
