Dr Rama Sastri was until 2002 the Rector of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University.
Prior to that, he has held a wide variety of other assignments in the University, including
Professor, Head of Department, Vice-Principal, Principal, Director and Registrar.
Dr Rama Sastri has published over 25 papers in national and international journals and
conferences, and guided over 30 M.Tech. projects. He has also been a recipient of the
prestigious ‘Best Teacher Award’ for the year 1994 in the ‘University Teacher’ category from
the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
Dr Rama Sastri served as the Principal of the College during 2002-07. Under his dynamic
leadership, CVR College has risen to a position of pre-eminence as an educational institution
within just a few years, excelling in various engineering disciplines.
Dr. K Rama Sastri
Dr A.D. Rajkumar is a B.Sc., B.E., M.Tech., & Ph.D. having studied at Osmania University
and at IIT Madras. He started his career at the Electrical Engineering Department of Osmania
University in 1972 and has risen to become a Professor in 1987. He is an approved
supervisor for Ph.D. work in Electrical Engineering. He has to his credit several research
papers published in Journals and Conferences of repute in India and abroad.
He has won a Certificate of Merit for a publication. He has successfully guided three students
for the Ph.D. degree. He was honored with the ‘Best Teacher Award’ in the University
College of Engineering in 2005. He was later awarded the ‘Meritorious Teacher Award’ by
the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh in 2007.
He has served the Osmania University in various capacities. He retired as the Dean of the
Faculty of Engineering, Osmania University. He is on the Experts Panel of the All India
Council for Technical Education, UPSC and other important bodies. He has been to the
