					                               SENIOR LAND INFORMATION ANALYST


Provide senior level support and oversight for the development of geographic information data
sets and applications for county departments and the Land Information Office (LIO). Duties
include a long-term project to develop the county’s geographic parcel layer. Also, work with
vendors to develop and maintain systems and support; develop and implement geographic
information system applications based on user needs; assist with the development of public
access systems for geographic information; provide primary support for the development of
internet geographic information and applications and assist with the data distribution and
custom map production services of the LIO.


Provide support for the development of geographic information data sets and applications;
provide technical support and training related to the development of the county’s geographic
information system; provide supervision to LTE staff assigned to the development of the
county’s geographic parcel and zoning layers; assist with the data conversion, data distribution
and custom map production services of the LIO; develop and maintain the LIO website;
recommend and implement plans for hardware and software acquisition by the LIO; and perform
other related duties as assigned.


Education and Experience A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and
experience in computer science, geographic information science, geography, cartography,
surveying or related field. Plus, five years experience in the development and support of
geographic information and geographic information systems.            Familiarity with network
environments, internet and non-spatial information systems is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of ESRI geographic information system software
products, programming, applications and related technology; knowledge of Web mapping
technology, software, programming and applications; knowledge of UNIX and Microsoft NT
operating systems; knowledge of geographic information science concepts, including
cartography, basic surveying principles, and geographic data development and management;
knowledge of personal computer hardware and software and Microsoft Office application
software; teaching or training skills; effective oral and written communication skills; time
management and project management skills; ability to work efficiently and effectively with
others; ability to manage a number of projects simultaneously.
