Story for Lu
Chris awoke with a start, his mind slowly bringing itself back to full consciousness. He realized with a groan why
his pleasant dreams had been so rudely interrupted: He'd wet the bed. Again.
"Oh man." He said with a sigh as he ran his hand over the still-warm stain that spread over nearly all of his sheets.
"What's going on with me?"
He pulled himself out of bed and collected the wet bedding, then took it all downstairs to the washer. 'Time to play
hide-the-accident again' he thought to himself. As he passed his younger brother Josh's room, he took particular care
to be quiet. Josh was a heavy sleeper, but having his 7-year old brother find out that Chris, a junior in high school,
still wet the bed was not something he wanted.
After the sheets were in the wash, Chris stripped out of his wet nightclothes and added them to the wash as well. He
checked the clock. It was one a.m. "Okay, I've got plenty of time. Let these wash, then I can put them in the dryer
and go shower off." Chris said to himself. "It just means I won't get any sleep tonight."
Normally, he wouldn't have minded, but with finals coming up next week, Chris needed all the rest he could get. He
was more than a little panicked about finals, as some mid-school year slacking had hurt his grades, and if he didn't
do well on the finals, he'd probably bomb most his classes. That would ensure his parents would make this summer
Chris went upstairs and threw on an old pair of sweatpants. He sat quietly downstairs, waiting for the wash to finish,
and watched television. His eyelids drooped, and several times he nearly fell asleep. Then, a commercial came on
that caught his eye.
"Do your children suffer from 'accidents', either in the day or nighttime? Now, there's help. Bedwetting is something
most kids outgrow, but in the meantime, use Good Nights." The man on the ad held up a package that looked like
thick underwear. Sort of. "Good Nights are as absorbent as most diapers, yet they are not as thick, and not as
embarrassingly baby-like as diapers. Buy them today at these fine retailers." The ad concluded with a list of grocery
stores, and Chris recognized one store that was just a few blocks from his house. That gave him an idea…
Chris turned off the television and checked the laundry. It still had nearly 45 minutes to go. He made his way to his
room and checked his wallet. The lone twenty-dollar bill stared back at him. 'That should be enough' he thought as
he stuffed the wallet into his pants pocket then threw on a sweatshirt.
He laced up his shoes, grabbed his house key, and then carefully opened the front door. It gave a slight squeak, and
Chris paused to see if anyone had noticed. The house stayed quiet, so he stepped out in to the cold early morning air,
and shut the door just as cautiously as before.
Starting the motor of either of his parents' vehicles would get him caught for sure. He decided instead to walk the
eight or so blocks to the all night grocery. He scolded himself for not checking the time before he left. He wanted to
make absolutely sure nobody found out what he was about to do.
Nearly half an hour later, Chris made his way through the parking lot and to the main entrance of the store. "Here
goes nothing." He said to himself as he stepped inside. He wasn't happy about what he was about to do, but it made
more sense to him than face the embarrassment of telling his parents or waking up wet one more night.
He located the aisle where the Good Nights were located, and looked around. There was nobody else in the store
except for the employees; one overweight balding man who looked to be in his late forties, a younger man with
glasses who was stocking the shelves, and a twenty-something girl with short brown hair working the counter.
Chris took a deep breath, and started down the aisle. As he neared the Good Nights, he quickly scanned them for the
price: $12.95, he could handle that. He was about to reach out and grab them when the overweight manager
approached him. "Anything I can do to help?" He asked.
"Uh, no. Thanks." Chris replied meekly.
"If you need something…" the manager said as he made his way to the back of the store.
Chris decided it was no or never, so he grabbed the package that read "X-Large: 108 lb. and up" and headed for the
checkout. He tried not to make eyes at the clerk, whose nametag read Britney, while he was paying for it, but she
didn't even really seem to notice. She was so bored with the transaction, he could've handed her a six pack of beer
and she wouldn't have cared.
When all was said and done, Chris headed out the door with the Good Nights tucked beneath his arm. He ran nearly
all the way home, and made his way inside and upstairs without a sound. He tore the package open and grabbed a
Good Night. He opened it to examine what it was he'd just forked over his hard-earned cash for.
At first it didn't look like it would fit him, but upon further inspection, Chris found the waistband was incredibly
elastic, and it might just work. He realized the clothes would be done by now, so he threw them in the dryer and
headed for the shower. After he was done, he remade his bed with new sheets, and then slipped into one of the Good
Nights. It was small, but it fit. It was certainly more absorbent than anything else he had. Chris lay in bed and
checked the clock. Two hours until he was supposed to get up. 'Might as well try to get a little shut eye.' He thought
before he drifted off to sleep.
Chris woke up to the buzzing of his alarm. He lifted his head, which felt like it weighed a ton, and gazed at the time.
6:30am, time to get up. He put his head back on his pillow, and before he knew it, he was asleep again.
"Chris, wake up! You're going to be late for school." Chris's mom shook her son awake.
"Wha..." Chris again lifted his head and looked around slowly. His mom grabbed the covers off his bed and began to
draw them back.
"You've got to get up, now. You'll be late." She said. Suddenly, Chris remembered the Good Nights he was wearing.
He grabbed the sheets from out of his mom's hands and wrapped them tightly around him.
"Mom, what are you doing? I can get up by myself!" Chris's face was bright red.
"Sorry. I'm leaving. But you better be downstairs in ten minutes, mister." With that, his mom left.
Chris sat up, his heart thumping in his chest. He checked himself. Still dry. He looked around quickly for some
pants. He threw on some jeans, tossed on an old t-shirt, and grabbed his school bag. "Nobody will notice." He said
to himself as he headed for the door.
He was right. All through school, no one said a thing. The jeans were baggy enough that there was no way anyone
could tell what was hiding beneath them. After school, Chris headed straight home, exhausted and ready for a nap.
On the way home, Chris realized he'd left some important notes for his upcoming biology final in his locker at
school. "Dammit! Too late for them now." He grumbled.
Upon arriving at home, he found a note from his mother. It read: You're brother's babysitter is coming by this
afternoon to pick up the check for babysitting last month. Be sure and be here to give it to her.
Great. Who was that girl again? Layton wasn't it. Chris couldn't think clearly he was so tired. He sat down on the
couch and after several more minutes of thinking about the biology final, he fell asleep.
Chris dreamed he was being attacked by giant cells. Huge, multi-coloured organisms came at him from all sides,
pushing and pulling him. Finally, he tripped and fell down a large slide and in to a deep pool of water. He was
soaked to the bone.
THUMP THUMP THUMP!
Chris awoke to the sound of someone knocking at the door. As he got up from the couch, he realized his waist area
was much... warmer. He checked the Good Night. Sure enough, it was soaked. He must have peed while asleep on
the couch. He looked back, and was relieved to see no stain on the couch. His attention was drawn to a knock on the
The babysitter peered in at him, and when he saw her she smiled and waived. 'Great, she's seen me, she knows I'm
home.' Chris said. Nothing left to do but answer the door. She'd never know, right.
He greeted Layton and led her upstairs. Quickly, he handed her the check, then walked her to the door.
"Well, okay then, bye." Chris held the door open.
"Uh, are you feeling okay." Lu responded.
"Yeah, why?" Chris was beginning to grow impatient.
"Because, you're diaper is leaking.” She motioned to his jeans, where two dark spots had formed on either side of his
Chris stammered, his throat completely dry. "D.. Diaper? No. That's..." He trailed off.
"Look, I'm a babysitter. I know diaper leaks when I see them. It's no big deal, I won't tell anyone..." She looked
Chris straight in the eyes. “I promise.”
“Alright, Layton.“ Chris grew beet red and shut the door.
“Call me Lu.”
"Okay, Lu. Well, you might as well know..."
Chris sat Lu down on the couch and explained everything. The bedwetting, the diapers, the bad dreams. She listened
in silence, and when Chris was finished, she said, "I know this won't make you feel any better, but I really don't
think it's anything to worry about."
"What are you talking about, it's terrible! What am I going to do? Nobody else I know has these kinds of problems.
What if this happens in class? I can't even trust the diapers I bought."
"What kind did you get?" Lu asked
"Good Nights." Chris replied, blushing slightly.
"That's your problem right there. Sure, they fit you, but I don't think they are meant for people as big as you are.
They can't hold that much."
"Oh. So now what?" Chris asked.
"If you're really concerned about this, you need real diapers." Lu replied.
"No way! I had enough trouble buying the Good Nights, like hell I'm buying big bulky diapers. Besides, they've got
to be so loud, everyone in school will know I'm wearing them."
"Not if you dress in baggy clothes. Something like jeans, or your track pants, they make a lot of noise anyway. And,
if you want, I can probably pick a few diapers up for you from this girl I baby-sit for. She's a little younger than you
are, and she still wets the bed. The diapers she uses should fit your needs." Lu concluded.
"Um, okay, I guess." Chris was uneasy with the idea of wearing diapers, but he was more terrified of the results if he
didn't. "When can you get them?"
"Probably today. I left my biology book over there, so I have to go get it to study for the final."
Chris's ears perked up when she mentioned biology. "Do you have Mr. Jones?"
Chris smiled. "How about you bring your notes over here and we can study together. I kind of forgot my stuff at
"Sure." Lu said. "I was looking for a study partner. I'll go pick up the book and, um, stuff right now." She was
careful to avoid saying diapers, so as to spare him any further humiliation.
Chris showed Lu to the door, and she headed out to retrieve the book. She smiled as she made her way to her car,
thinking about how cute Chris would look in a big pair of disposable diapers. Chris, on the other hand, was hoping
he could trust Lu to keep his secret safe. He didn't know her very well, but she seemed like the type who could be
trusted. If not… Chris didn't want to think about that.
He headed upstairs and removed his pants, put the soiled diaper in a plastic bag, and threw it in the garbage. He
slipped another Good Night on, and then his favorite pair of sweats. Right now, he needed to feel as comfortable as
An hour later, Lu returned, carrying her books, notes and a paper bag. As Chris let her in she handed him the book
and asked, "So, where shall we study?"
Chris led her to his room, and sat down on his bed. Lu held out the paper sack, and said, "In here is what you want. I
got about five of them, free of charge from me to you." Lu smiled.
"Great. Thanks." Chris took the sack, and set it aside.
"You're not going to put one on?" Lu asked.
"I don't want to right now. You're still here." Chris said
"Look, I brought them to you. I know you're wearing them, no big deal. I just thought you'd want to get used to
them, and see how much noise they make, stuff like that. Better to do a trial run with someone who doesn't care than
risk it tomorrow at school, right?" Said Lu.
Chris swallowed hard. "Yeah, you've got a point." He opened the bag and removed a diaper. He looked it over. It's
slick plastic shell felt smooth beneath his fingers, and it crinkled slightly as he turned it over. He headed to the
bathroom, and prepared to step back into diapers.
After about ten minutes, Lu knocked on the bathroom door. "You okay in there? You're taking an awfully long
"I can't get it on right." Came the reply from within.
"What do you mean?" Lu asked, puzzled.
Chris opened the door just a crack, and peered out at his guest. "It' really tricky to diaper yourself. I've never had to
do it before." He said sheepishly.
"Are you covered?" Lu asked.
"You have the diaper pulled up between your legs, right? If I come in right now, I'm not going to see anything you
don't want me to."
"Uh, yeah, but…"
Lu pushed the door open, and Chris jumped back. He had the diaper pulled up between his legs, one hand holding
the front of the diaper, the other holding the back. "Lay down." Lu instructed. Carefully, Chris did as he was told,
still clutching the diaper, so as not to let anything show. Once he was lying down, Lu proceeded to tape the diaper
on tight, as she'd done with hundreds of diapers before. When it was all over, she helped him up, and took a step
back to admire her work. Seeing Chris in just a diaper, Lu couldn't help but get excited. "You're so cute." She teased.
"Shut up! What are you still doing here? Go back to my room, I'll be in in a second." Chris moved for his jeans, but
Lu grabbed them first.
"Okay, I'll see you in a minute." She ran down the hall and to his room. With no other clothing available, Chris had
no choice but to follow, diapers and all.
He threw the door to his room open, and shouted, "What the hell are you doing? Give me back my clothes!"
He grabbed his pants, and tried to yank them free from Lu, who was sitting on his bed. A tug-of-war broke out,
neither side willing to release the garment. While trying to reposition his feet for better balance, Chris rammed his
big toe into the post of his bed. Without thinking, he yelled in pain, and brought his foot up off the floor. It was all
Lu needed. She pulled hard, and Chris found himself on his stomach, draped across her lap.
Lu proceeded to spank Chris five times firmly on his diapered rear. He stood up, a look of confusion on his face.
"What was that?" He asked.
"Sorry. Reaction I guess. You were being a rude brat, so you got a spanking." She smiled, and Chris felt all his anger
melt away. His face grew red, and he mumbled, "Sorry. Can I have my pants back now? Please?"
"Sure." Lu said, and threw him his sweats. He pulled them on, and rubbed his sore backside.
"You're spankings hurt." He commented.
"Don’t you forget it. If you're rude to me again, you'll get more of the same." Lu laughed good-naturedly, but Chris
knew it wasn't a complete joke. He laughed along with her, and sat down.
"All right, let's get to work." He said. With that, the two began to study.
After nearly two hours of studying, both Lu and Chris agreed they'd had enough. "We can study some more
tomorrow at my house." Lu offered.
"Sure." Chris said. "The final is not until Friday, which gives us three more days to study. I'll need it."
“No. It’s a week from Friday, remember? We have that ‘outdoor education’ thing this Thursday and Friday.” Lu
smiled. “We have plenty of time.”
Just then, a knock at Chris' bedroom door made them both jump. Chris' mom opened and said, "Hi honey, just
letting you know I was home. Sorry, didn't see you had guests. Hope I'm not interrupting." Chris' mom cocked an
eyebrow and smiled coyly.
"No, mother, nothing's going on." Chris was annoyed.
"I was just leaving." Lu said, gathering her bags. Lu smiled wide and remarked, "Yeah, so… see you tomorrow."
Chris just smiled.
"What?" Lu was getting self-conscious.
"Nothing. You just have a nice smile, that's all." Chris blushed.
"Okay, whatever. See you later." Lu said as she left.
Later that night Chris lay awake, worrying. He’d completely forgotten about the weekend. Outdoor education was
something his school made him do. For two days every year of high school, the sophomores and juniors went
camping. They learned about nature and conservation and things of that nature. Usually, Chris enjoyed getting out of
school. However, outdoor education did entail spending the night with just your schoolmates in a leaky cabin. And
this year, it meant spending the night in diapers. At least Lu would be along for the ride.
Unable to sleep, Chris spent more time studying the notes he'd copied from Lu. He smiled as he thought about the
afternoon. It had started off pretty awful, but all in all, it had turned out pretty nice. She had saved his life with the
notes, and she knew the subject and could teach him what he didn't know, so hopefully he wouldn't do too badly on
the final. After a while of reading, his eyelids began to get heavy. Chris looked at his clock. Eleven thirty. He lay his
head on the pillow and closed his eyes.
"Chris! Chris, wake up!"
Chris looked up. His mother was shaking him by the shoulder. "What's going on?" He said.
"You didn't set your alarm, now you're late for school. Get moving!"
Chris jumped up. It was seven in the morning. He had just a half an hour until school started. His mom left the room,
leaving Chris to gather his books. Suddenly, he realized with a growing sense of dread that his diaper was warm. He
checked to make sure his door was closed, then he stuck a hand down the front of his pants. Sure enough, he'd peed
during the night. The diaper had puffed up to contain it all.
"C'mon Chris, we haven't got all day." Chris' mother yelled from the front room.
"There's no time to change! This can't be happening." Chris groaned. He grabbed the paper bag that Lu had brought
him and stuck it in his bag. He'd have to change at school.
As his mother drove him to school, Chris stared nervously out the window. The diaper hadn't leaked, so he was safe
there. However, changing into a fresh diaper at school could get hectic. Last time he tried, Chris couldn't even get
the thing to stay on properly. 'I have to find Lu.' Chris thought. 'She'd understand.'
When he got to school, Lu was nowhere to be found. The warning bell rang, and Chris swallowed hard. He'd have to
go to first period with a wet diaper, there was just no way around it. He checked himself once more, making sure the
diaper wasn't too obvious, and then headed off to class. 'Today is going to be a long day' he thought as he entered the
Chris sat through first period, trying to move as little as possible. Luckily, the jeans he had on muffled most of the
diaper noise, but there was no sense in taking risks. Finally, after sitting through the most uncomfortable lecture
ever, the bell rang and Chris was free to go. He ran out of the class, bumping into a couple of his classmates on his
In the hall, he searched frantically for Lu. He knew she was a sophomore, so he headed for the sophomore lockers.
After more searching, he found who he was looking for. Lu was talking to her friends, headed the opposite direction.
"Lu!" Chris called out. She turned around.
"Uh, Lu, can I talk to you." Chris said as he caught up with her.
Lu smiled. "Shoot."
"Can I talk to you… alone?"
"Yeah, okay." She excused herself from her friends, and Chris took her to the side of the hall. Everyone was busy
with their lockers or moving along to their next class, so nobody really paid attention to them.
"How'd it go last night with the you-know-what." She pointed below Chris's waist.
"That's what I wanted to talk to you about. It… it didn't go so good." Chris blushed. "I kinda need your help
"Oh!" Lu smiled again. "Sure. Looks like we'll be late to second period."
They waited until the bell had rung, and everyone had cleared the halls. Then, Lu and Chris walked to the
bathrooms. Since both the boys' and girls' rooms were right next door to each other, Chris stopped outside and said,
"Okay, which one."
"I don't care." Chris replied. He just wanted to get this over with as soon as possible.
Lu led him inside the girls' room, and into a stall. Chris tried to act as normal as possible, but he'd never been in a
girls' bathroom before, and it served to make him all the more uncomfortable.
"Diaper." Lu commanded.
Chris fumbled around in his bag, and produced the paper bag with the diapers inside. Lu grabbed one and unfolded
"Okay, know take off your pants." She said.
Chris did so, and they both made a move for the tapes that held the diaper on.
"Sorry, yeah. You go ahead." Lu said. She was a little embarrassed.
Chris slowly undid the tapes, and took the fresh diaper from Lu's hand. He held it over himself, and let the old
diaper drop between his legs. He pulled the fresh one through and held it tight while Lu taped it in place. After all
was said and done, Lu grabbed the old diaper and folded it up.
"Thanks." Chris said.
Lu gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. "Don't mention it."
Chris smiled for the first time that day, then said, "I have to get to my next class. See you tonight?"
"Yeah, sure. How are you getting home?" Lu asked.
"The bus. I've got no car."
"Why don't you ride with me? I'll meet you outside the gym and we can go straight to my house to study."
"Sounds great." Chris said. He moved past Lu, left the bathroom, and then headed upstairs to second period.
Lu smiled to herself. He was pretty cute. 'The cutest boy in diapers' she thought to herself. She grabbed her book bag
and the dirty diaper, and then left the stall. She was about to throw the diaper away, when two senior girls walked
through the door. All three stopped, and the duo stared at the diaper in Lu's hand.
"I knew the freshmen were getting younger every year, but…" one girl said to the other.
"Whatever." Lu said. She tossed the diaper away and walked out. She could feel her face grow hot as she blushed.
Chris sat in the last class of the day, his eyelids heavy. Math always put him to sleep, and today was no exception.
He didn't really give a thought to the diaper, which was still dry. He'd worn it all day, and to his knowledge, no one
had noticed. He'd almost forgotten about it too.
"The reciprocal of these two numbers…" Mr. Henry, the teacher droned on at the front of the class.
Chris's eyes closed once, twice, and finally he laid his head on the desk. Once again, his dreams carried him to a
land of disturbing images. He felt alone and unprepared.
"Chris!" Mr. Henry's voice shattered Chris's sleep.
"What?" Chris sat up in a daze, then immediately realized what had happened.
"Class is over. You may want to check with your fellow students to get the notes for what will be on your final. It
takes place next Friday, you know." Mr. Henry stormed off.
'Great. Another thing to worry about.' Chris said. He saw he was the last one in class, and got up to head for the
door. That's when it hit him. His diaper was much heavier than before. Without checking, he knew he'd wet it again.
He casually glanced down. He saw no stains, so the diaper had done the job. Chris just wished he didn't need diapers
to stay dry at school.
"Good thing I'm meeting Lu." He said as he exited the building and headed for the gym.
When he got there, Lu was alone, and he told her what happened.
“There's only two diapers left from what I gave you." She said. "We'll have to get you some more."
"How? Can you get more from the people you baby-sit for?" Chris asked.
Lu frowned. "I don't think so. They'll notice. We'll have to pick some up on the way to my house. We can get you
some powder, too."
"Like baby powder?" Chris was afraid of the answer.
"Yeah. Don't worry, you bought those other ones, you can get these." Lu patted him on the back.
"I bought those in the middle of the night. I've never had to do this during the day."
"Chill out. I'll go with you. C'mon, let's get going." She took him by the hand and led him to her car. Once inside,
Chris inquired about where they would go to get the diapers.
"I don't know. How about the place where you got the Good Nights?" Lu said.
"Whatever. Let's just make this quick." Chris replied. He was not only uneasy about buying diapers, he knew he
could use every minute of studying he could get.
As they made their way to the store, Lu said, "By the way, you've got money, right."
"Um, like ten bucks or so." Chris said.
"I'll cover you for the rest."
Arriving at the parking lot, Chris was a little reluctant to get out of the car.
"Relax. Nobody cares. If anyone asks, you're buying them for your sick grandmother." Lu reassured him.
The pair walked down the aisles until they found what they were looking for. Lu picked up a bag of medium-sized
adult disposable briefs marked "Overnight Protection". "These should work." She said.
They headed to the front of the store, and were about to round the aisle to the cashier, when Lu bumped into the
same girl from the bathroom.
"Aww… is wittle baby in need of more diapees?" She cooed in mock concern. Her friend laughed.
Lu was red faced. "No, they're not for me they're for… his grandma." She turned to look for Chris, but he was gone.
"She's not only incontinent, she's crazy." Was the reply from the second girl. The duo of older girls walked away,
laughing as they went. Chris popped his head up from behind a tower of laundry detergent stacked in the middle of
"Are they gone?" He asked.
"ARE THEY- are they gone? Where did YOU go!" Lu tried not to yell and draw more unwanted attention.
"I thought you heard them coming. I figured you'd just drop the diapers and act like we were looking for something
else." He put his hands on her shoulders and looked her in the eyes. "I'm sorry Lu."
"Not as sorry as you're gonna be." She said as she headed towards the front of the store.
"What was that?" Chris said as he followed.
"Nothing." Lu smiled back at him sweetly. She paid for the diapers herself, and refused Chris' money. "Consider it
my gift to you." She said as they headed for the car.
When they got to Lu's house, she led Chris upstairs and into her room.
"Well, this is it." Lu motioned around her room. Chris sat on the bed and began unpacking his biology homework.
"You want something to drink before we begin?" Lu asked.
"Sure. Got any Coke?"
"One cold Coke, coming up." Lu headed downstairs. She returned minutes later with two glasses of soda, one for her
and one for her guest. They worked hard, and after two hours, both agreed they should take a break from studying
for the final. They headed downstairs, and talked while they drank more Coke.
"So, uh, are you excited to be a senior?" Lu asked, trying to start conversation.
"I guess. I'd just rather not think about that now 'cause if I don't do well on the final, I won't be a senior." Chris felt
his heart beat faster at the notion of flunking eleventh grade.
"Sorry. So, what kinda music do you like?" Lu asked.
"Oh, lotsa stuff. My favorites are Ani Difranco and Placebo…"
"Who?" Lu had never heard of either.
"Well, Ani's this really good singer from New York, and Placebo are kinda glam-pop from England. I'll bring them
over sometime when we don't have to study so much so you can check them out." Chris said.
Lu smiled and thought about how cool it would be to just 'hang out' with Chris, and not have to stress so much about
tests. "That would be great." She said.
They talked for another hour, drinking as they did, before Chris said, "Lu, where's your bathroom?"
"Because I want to know what type of toilet paper you use. Why do you think?" Chris set down his empty glass.
"I don't know. You've got a diaper on." Lu hopped down from sitting on the kitchen counter and sauntered over to
Chris, who was standing near the window. "Use it." She said.
"Yeah right." Chris laughed. "There's no way you could get me to wet my diaper on purpose."
"Oh really." Lu felt a knot begin to form in her stomach. She breathed deeply. In one swift motion, she put her hand
beneath his chin, and drew his lips to hers. She stuck the other hand into his pants, and felt the front of his diaper
grow warm as she kissed him. A slight hiss could be heard as Chris emptied his bladder with surprise.
Lu drew lips back and smiled. “So,” she said, trying very hard to remain calm. “what do you think of that?”
“Yeah, I guess I kind of deserved that for ditching you at the store.” Chris smiled sheepishly.
“No. You don’t deserve that for ditching me.” She led him into the front room. Lu sat on the couch while Chris just
After a moment, he put his hand on her knee and said, “Shouldn’t we be getting back to work?”
“Right after I do this-” Lu grabbed his wrist and in one fluid motion, pulled him over her knee. Chris found his jeans
around his ankles and before he knew what was happening, he felt Lu’s hand smacking his backside. Hard.
After ten or so spankings, Lu let him up. He was more than a little shocked. “Wha… why did you?”
“That’s what you get for ditching me earlier. Now let’s just get back to the work.” Lu headed upstairs to her room,
Chris following closely after her.
“Hold on. What about my diaper?” He enquired.
“Here.” She handed him a fresh diaper, and said, “The bathroom’s down the hall, on the right.”
“You’re not going to help?” Chris asked, worried.
“You’re going to have to learn to do this soon enough, right? I can’t always be there to help.” Lu said. Chris looked
at her with puppy-dog eyes.
“Fine. I’ll help you this one last time. After that, you’re on your own.” The duo headed to the bathroom together.
Upon instructing him on the fine art of changing one’s diaper, Lu headed back to her room. After a few minutes,
“Get it alright?” Lu asked.
“Yeah, I got it.”
“You have to admit, that spanking thing was kinda funny.” Lu said, hoping she hadn’t truly hurt him.
“Funny? Yeah, that’s one word for it.” Chris smiled to himself. It actually was almost… enjoyable.
The rest of the evening passed without incident. They studied more biography, and Chris was making noticeable
improvement. After awhile, they both tired of book work, and decided to watch a movie.
During the movie, Lu and Chris sat together on the couch. Lu feigned she was cold, and cuddled close to Chris. He
put his arm around her, and they finished the movie in each other’s arms.
Afterwards, Chris yawned and said, “Well, I better get going.”
“Yeah, I’ll drive you home.” Lu grabbed her keys and they headed to the car.
On the ride home, they listened to the radio. There was an odd but not uncomfortable silence. Both knew how they
felt, but wasn’t sure if they should make their feelings known.
Finally, at the end of the ride, Chris turned to Lu. “You know, the junior prom’s coming up soon.”
“Yeah, I know.” Lu felt her heart thudding in her chest, and she was sure if it was any louder, Chris would be able to
hear it too.
“So, um, you don’t have anybody to go with, huh?” Chris was obviously nervous.
“No, no I don’t.”
“Well…” Chris trailed off.
“Well?” Lu waited for his next statement.
“Shoot!” Chris suddenly drew back, his train of thought derailed.
“What, what is it?” Lu asked, concerned.
“We forgot the diapers at your place.”
Lu smiled. “We can always go back to my place and get them.”
“No, look, it’s late. How about you bring them with you tomorrow. I’ll see you before school, in case I need a
change, and after school, we can go back to your place to study some more.”
“Sure. Sounds great.” Lu forced herself to smile.
Chris hugged her goodbye and left the car. Lu watched him head inside and then backed her car slowly out of his
driveway. As she drove home, she thought of ways she could ask him to the prom without seeming to imposing. She
wasn’t even sure she had the nerves for it. What would he say?
She got back to her house, and saw her mother had finally come home. She walked to her room, where her mother
“Dear, is there something you need to tell me?” Her mother asked in that I-already-know-so-you-may-as-well-fess-
up-now tone that only mothers have.
“No, why?” Lu asked, her mind racing to try and think of something she’d done wrong recently.
“I found these dear, and I just want to make sure everything is okay.” Her mother revealed the package of diapers
from behind her back.
“Those! Where did you find those?” Lu said.
“Well, I was in your room putting away your laundry and they were sitting in a bag by your bed, and I accidentally
knocked the bag over and they fell out. It’s alright, dear. It’s nothing to be ashamed of.”
“No- they’re not mine. They belong to, um- a friend.” Lu finished weakly. “They just left them here, that’s all.”
“You know, I’m your mother. I used to change your diapers. There’s no need to lie to me.”
“I’m not, I swear.” Lu looked her mother straight in the eye. “Those aren’t mine.”
“Alright dear.” Her mother kissed her cheek. As she left the room, Lu’s mom said, “You might want to get those
back to whomever the belong to. They could probably use them.”
“I will.” Lu smiled. “Tomorrow.”
The next morning, Chris awoke to find himself dry. “Yes!” he remarked.
He rolled out of bed and headed for his closet. He looked for a comfortable pair of jeans to throw on over the diaper.
He really didn’t have any problem wearing them to school. Nobody seemed to notice and, to be honest with himself,
Chris was growing rather used to them. Besides, if he fell asleep today in math class, he’d hate think of what might
He dressed casually and went downstairs for breakfast. He was very careful to listen for any hint of noise from the
diaper, but there was none. Once downstairs, he greeted his mother and younger brother with more vigor than usual.
His mom noticed, and commented, “So why are you in such a good mood?”
Chris hadn’t really thought about it, but he figured it was because he had stayed dry for the first night in a while. He
wasn’t about to say that though. “No reason. It’s just a nice day.”
He caught the bus and spent the bus ride lost in thought. He was excited to see Lu. He knew she’d be parked in the
back parking lot, right next to the gym. Now that he really thought about it, maybe he was more excited to see Lu
than the fact that his diaper was still dry. He smiled to himself.
The bus rounded the bend and entered the school parking lot. He was one of the first off the bus, and headed
immediately to find Lu. He found her no problem, standing beside the car, her hair blowing gently in the slight
breeze. She gave him a big hug and said, “So, did you sleep well?” She cast a glance below Chris’ waist.
“Perfect. No problems.” Chris beamed.
Lu looked surprised. “That’s cool. Guess you won’t be needing these, then?” Lu held up the package of diapers
she’d tossed in the backseat of her car.
“Not yet. Hopefully not again.” Chris said.
“I don’t know, you’re pretty cute in…” Lu stopped herself. She realized how uncomfortable things had gotten.
Just then, the door to the gym opened and out walked the girl from the pharmacy, trailed closely by her friend. They
spotted Lu holding the diapers and burst out in laughter. “Bye wittle girl.” They waved as they headed upstairs.
Lu fumed. “Why are they always around when I have diapers in my hand?”
“Don’t worry about her. That’s Stacey, the most stuck-up girl in school. Nobody listens to her.”
“Still, that is really annoying.” Lu moved to the back of her car. She popped the trunk and threw the package inside.
“If you need one, come find me.” She said. “Otherwise, I’ll see you after school, right?”
Chris smiled. “You bet. Tomorrow we leave for outdoor education.”
They headed their separate ways, and didn’t see each other again until lunch time. They sat together at lunch, and Lu
thought it might be a good time to speak her mind.
“So, about last night.” She started. “You started to ask me about prom.”
Chris swallowed hard. “I was just, you know, making small talk. No offense, it’s cool that you don’t have anybody
to go with. I hear it’s a stupid dance anyway.” He looked back at his food. He hoped he hadn’t come off too nervous.
“No, that’s cool. Actually, I was thinking, and I was wondering if…”
Just then Stacey came over to their table. She had a bib in her hand, and she had a vicious smile on her face. “I
thought your baby girl might need this.” She said, looking at Chris. She placed it on the table near Lu.
“Shut up!” Lu yelled. People from other tables were turning to look at what was going on.
Stacey pinched Lu’s cheek. “Oh, wittle baby, don’t be sad. One day, you’ll grow up to be a big girl, like me, and
then you won’t need this, or your diapers!” This drew a wave of laughter from Lu’s classmates, and Lu was getting
very flushed in the face.
Chris grabbed the bib. “Go away.” He said to Stacey. He turned to some of the other kids who were still laughing
and gave them a steely glare. The laughing stopped.
“Thanks.” Lu said. There was no way she was going to ask him to the prom now.
“We still on for tonight?” Chris asked, trying to get things back to normal.
“Sure.” Lu said. She smiled.
After school, the duo went to Chris’ house. They snuck the diapers into Chris’ room. After a short study session,
Chris got his clothes together. They were spending a weekend in the woods, so he packed his jeans and some grubby
t-shirts, along with a comfortable sweatshirt. Beneath it all was the diaper package.
“Are you planning on using all of those by Friday?” Lu asked.
“Why don’t you just take two or three. You know, just in case. I bet they’d be easier to hide than the whole
Chris thought for a moment. “True.” He grabbed four of the diapers, and then hid the rest in his closet. After he was
done packing, Lu and Chris watched some MTV. Finally, it was time for Lu to go.
“See you tomorrow.” She said.
“Later.” Chris saw her to the door. He was tired, and he headed right upstairs for to sleep. Thankfully, the diaper
he’d worn all day was still dry, so he just slipped off his clothes and went to sleep.
Chris woke on Thursday morning to an uncomfortable, yet familiar feeling. He was wet again. “Damn it!” He cursed
out loud. He got up and quickly peeled off the wet garment. He put it in a plastic bag for disposal later. After a
shower, he dressed for the day: nylon track pants, a t-shirt, and his trusty disposable diaper. The rustling of the track
pants ensured that nobody but Lu would know his secret. Hiding his diapers once he got to the campsite, though,
was another issue. One he quickly pushed from his mind as he headed downstairs for breakfast.
After the meal was through Chris was driven to school by his mother. They had to arrive earlier than usual to meet
the buses that would take Chris and Lu into the woods for the next two days. On the bus ride out of town, Lu and
Chris sat together. They talked the entire ride to the outdoor education site and the buses pulled to a stop at the final
destination before either of them realized how much time had passed.
As they exited the bus, Mr. Cosby, the English teacher, pointed the way. “Girls off to your left, boys on the right.”
Lu and Chris said goodbye for the time being, and headed to their respective cabins. The guys’ cabins were up a hill
and the girls’ were on the other side of the campground. Chris checked into his cabin, along with three other
classmates. They staked out their bunks and started unpacking.
Chris was careful not to reveal the diapers he’d stashed for the trip. After he was done getting situated, he waited on
his bed for the counselor.
“Well, boys. Are you ready for some outdoor education?” It was Mr. Clarke, their P.E. teacher.
‘Great.’ Thought Chris. ‘This guy’s such a hard-ass.’
“C’mon then, down to the main hall.” Mr. Clarke escorted them down the hill to the large building that served as a
mess hall/meeting place for the outdoor education class. The group was welcomed, and their principle explained the
ground rules. Guys weren’t allowed in the girl’s area, and vice versa. Most of the teachers were going into an hour-
long planning meeting, so the few teachers left (Mr. Clarke included) were going to organize some outdoor stuff for
the students to do in the meantime. Lu caught up with Chris, and the two took a short walk around the pond behind
the main hall.
“So, what do you think?” Lu asked.
“I got stuck with Mr. Clarke and a room full of sophomore guys.” Chris complained.
“Could be worse. I’m in the same cabin as Stacey. She’s already asked if I brought a fresh diaper for tonight.”
“What a bitch.” Chris remarked.
As they rounded the bend, Chris heard Mr. Clarke’s hoarse voice. “Chris. What’re you doing? We need another for a
six on six football game.”
“Uh, no thanks Mr. Clarke.” Chris looked at his six-foot, bald-headed teacher. “I’m just gonna walk with Lu.”
“Bullshit. You can talk to your girlie friend some other time. Get in there.”
Chris blushed and Lu laughed, adding, “Go for it tiger. We can talk later.” Chris reluctantly headed into the game,
thinking, ‘I just hope no one pats me on the butt.’
Chris went into the huddle, and Rich, the starting quarterback for the school team, called the play.
“On three, Brian snaps to me, I fake the hand off to Walker and take it straight up the center. Sam and Jesse, you’re
on the wings. Go long and try and spread their D.”
“What do I do?” Chris asked.
“Um. Just block or something.” Rich said dismissively.
The play began, and Rich did just as he said he would. He broke downfield, the center of attention, and everyone ran
after him. He was almost in the clear, when someone from the other team pounded him. The ball came loose, and
skipped along the ground. Someone kicked it, and it bounced back the way Rich had come from. It stopped right at
Without thinking, Chris picked it up.
“Run you idiot!” Jesse yelled from across the field.
Chris took off downfield, dodging one tackler and stiff-arming another. He’d never been an athlete, but here on the
field, among the school’s varsity and junior varsity team, he was holding his own. He was beginning to really enjoy
He broke into clear territory, and sprinted downfield. He forgot about Lu. He forgot about Rich, and Mr. Clarke, and
the finals he had coming up. He just ran. ‘I’m going to score.’ He thought. He could see the end zone.
Just then, from behind him, came Mike Richards. Six-foot three and skinny as hell, Mike was the opposition’s last
chance to stop Chris. He leapt forward like a cheetah stalking a gazelle on the open plains of Africa. His arms
latched around Chris’ waist, and he dragged Chris down to the ground with him.
Or so he thought.
Chris reached the end zone, and slammed the ball down hard. He’d done it. He’d scored the first touchdown in the
game. In front of the football team and the cheerleaders, and anyone else who’d stopped to watch, he’d vindicated
himself as an athlete. He turned around to greet the cheers of his teammates, but instead there was-
“What the hell?” Chris said. Even Mike was laughing. Mike, who’d missed the score-saving tackle was laughing at
him. Mike walked toward him, holding something out to Chris. It took Chris a moment to realize it, but when he
grasped what Mike held in his hands, he forgot all about the game. It was his pants. Somehow, in the rush to the
goal, Mike had managed to strip off Chris’ pants.
“You might want these.” Mike said. “You know, to cover up your diapers!” He could barely contain himself.
Sure enough, sticking out from the end of Chris’ scruffy t-shirt was the bulky white plastic of his disposable diaper.
“What the hell is this?” Mr. Clarke bellowed. “I didn’t realize I had to baby sit, too.” The audience howled their
approval at the joke, and Chris turned three shades of red. He took his pants back and quietly slipped them on. He
started to walk off the field, a sudden rush of emotion welling up inside him. Tears began to trickle down his flushed
cheeks. By the time he was halfway off the field, he was bawling. He ran all the way back to his cabin, blubbering to
himself. He nearly tripped over Lu as he ran, his vision so impaired by the falling tears.
“What’s going on?” She asked.
“Haven’t you heard?” Stacey answered. “We finally all found out. The diapers weren’t for you, they were for your
baby boy!” She laughed wickedly.
“You shut up!” Lu yelled. “All of you!” She ran after her friend.
“You can’t come up here.” One of the male counselors told her.
“But-” Lu began.
“Do you know what’s going on?” Ms. Spencer, the principle said, coming up the hill behind Lu. She was flanked by
Mr. Clarke. “You’d better tell me if you know.”
Lu followed Ms. Spencer to her office at the back of the main hall, where Lu told her everything.
“There’s no mention of this on his permission slip.” Ms. Spencer said. “We’ll have to call his mother.”
“No!” Lu said. “You can’t. She doesn’t even know. It’s okay, he’s dealing with it.”
“I’m sorry, but this shouldn’t be happening to a boy his age. It could be a sign of something more serious. I’m going
to have to inform her.”
Chris’ mother was called, and Ms. Spencer relayed the news.
“My son was wearing what?” She was shocked. “I’ll be there as soon as I can.” She hung up.
Just after Ms. Spencer hung up the phone, Chris was led into her office. He wiped the tears away. “What’s going to
happen now?” He asked.
“I’ve called your mother. I think it’s best if you work this out with her, and come back to school on Monday.”
Chris laughed. “Great. Thanks a million.” He put his head in his hands. Lu tried to comfort him by rubbing his back,
but he stopped her. “Please… don’t.”
“Thank you, Layton. That will be all.” Ms. Spencer said.
“I prefer she stay here.” Chris said.
“Fine. I have to attend to the students, I’ll check back with you later.” Ms. Spencer exited, leaving Chris and Lu
“What exactly happened?” Lu asked.
“I was tackled.” Chris said. “My pants came off.” Lu winced. She could only imagine what the scene must have
been like. “By Monday, my life will be over. Everyone in the school will know. I might as well just drop out now.”
“Don’t say that. I’m sure some people will bug you, but…” Lu couldn’t think of something to say.
“But what? What’s the point?”
“We still have to study. We’ve got finals next week. After that, prom.”
“Please. You really think I’m going to find a date after this?” Chris shook his head. “Never gonna happen.”
Lu took a deep breath. “What about me?” Chris just stared at her. “I mean it. I want to go to the prom with you.”
There was no response. They spent the next half hour in silence. Chris sniffled to himself, and Lu just sat there
Finally, Ms. Spencer came back. “Chris, your mother is here. Please pack up your things and get ready to go.”
Chris left Lu and walked sullenly up to the cabin. He gathered his things and left. Mercifully, everyone was in class,
so nobody saw him leave. On the way home, he said nothing to his mother.
“What where you thinking? What’s going on down there? Why didn’t you tell me.” His mother seemed more upset
than he was. Finally, they arrived at home. Chris headed upstairs, still wearing the diaper, and laid in his bed.
After a few minutes, his mother came in. “Please, honey. I’m not angry, I just want to know what’s wrong. I want to
Finally, Chris had had enough. “You want to help me? Then just go away! LEAVE ME ALONE DAMN IT!” Tears
were streaking down his face again, and he rolled over on his stomach and lay face down in his pillows, crying.
“Alright mister. You want to act that way with me? Fine. You act like a baby, you dress like a baby- you get treated
like one!” Before he knew what was what, Chris found his track pants once again at his ankles. He was over his
mother’s knee and she was spanking him like the red-headed step child he wasn’t.
Hearing his older brother’s screams, Josh came to see what the commotion was. He found his brother straddling his
mother’s knee, wearing a diaper and getting his hide soundly tanned. His mother paused just long enough to glare in
Josh‘s direction. “What?” She asked.
“Nothing.” Josh said quickly, and headed back downstairs.
When it was all over, Chris was crying for a totally different reason. His backside was red, even through the padding
of the diaper, and he was left alone to think about everything that had happened, and rub his sore rear end. Chris
cried himself to sleep that night.
Lu had managed to avoid most people’s questions. The news of Chris’ diapers had spread like wildfire, and less than
an hour after the event, anyone who didn’t actually see it for themselves had heard about it. At first Lu was just
embarrassed for her friend. Before long, however, she had hatched a plan to get even with Chris’ tormentors.
That night, under cover of darkness, Lu crept from her bed and went into the bathroom. She filled a glass with warm
water, and slinked over to Stacey’s bedside. Almost as if she knew what was going to take place, and was in an
accommodating mood, Stacey was asleep with one hand hanging out beyond her covers. She was snoring loudly. Lu
placed the tips of Stacey’s fingers in the warm water. With nervous anticipation, Lu waited to see if she would wake
up. Stacey didn’t. After a few minutes, Lu decided to check on Stacey’s ‘progress’. She gently lifted the girl’s
covers, and was delighted to see a large stain spread across Stacey’s lap. Lu had to cover her mouth to keep from
‘Now for Mike.’ Lu thought.
She refilled her glass and headed out the door to Mike’s cabin. Moving very quietly, she inched open the wooden
door to the cabin and looked around. Mike was nearest the door. ‘Perfect.’ Lu thought. She repeated the process on
Mike, and in no time he too was fast asleep in a soiled bed. Neither he nor Stacey had awoken, and neither knew
what had happened. Lu laughed as she thought to herself, ‘They’ll know it tomorrow.’
Finally, she moved to Mr. Clarke’s bed. She tried to imagine how he’d explain wetting his bed when another idea
came to mind. Lu stopped short of dipping his hand in the water, and moved slowly out of the cabin. She climbed
back into bed and waited for morning. All the scheming had tired her out, and she was soon fast asleep.
“Oh my god!” Heather Connor laughed out loud. The piercing sound of her hysterics shook Lu from her sleep.
“What’s going on?” Lu asked, still groggy.
“Stacey wet her bed.” Heather said. She pointed to the still-sleeping Stacey. Sometime during the evening, the girl
had kicked off her covers. She was spread out in her bed, the obvious stains exposed for all to see. Lu couldn’t have
planned it better if she’d tried. Just then, Lu’s other cabin mate, Lindsay Malone, burst through the door with her
friend Darla. Darla was junior editor of the paper, and never went anywhere without a camera. She immediately got
a couple of glamour shots of Stacey before Stacy woke up.
Bolting from her bed, Stacey charged the photographer. “What the hell are you doing. What the fu-”
“These will go great on the front page of the newspaper.” Lindsay commented.
“I wet… but how… I never…” Stacey was still stammering as Ms. Lincoln came through the door.
“Good morning girls. Oh my.” She said, noticing Stacey’s wet sleeping shorts. She shouted out the door, “We’ve got
another one!” Then, she turned back to Stacey and said, “You and Mike Richards. What is it with you kids? Well,
hit the showers. The rest of you, breakfast time.”
Stacey got her things together while the other girls just laughed. They made their way to the mess hall. On the way
there, Lu paid close attention to the bushes and shrubs as they passed. All at once, Lu bent down to tie her shoe. “I’ll
catch up. You guys go ahead.” She said. Once she was alone, she grabbed what she’d been looking for. Elderberries.
She collected a handful of the ripest, juiciest berries and then moved on.
She caught up with the girls in her cabin and they made their way through the breakfast line. They sat down at the
table next to the one where the teachers sat. Lu paid close attention to Mr. Clarke. She finished her cereal and
waited. When he stood up to get more coffee, Lu stood up to.
“Good morning, Mr. Clarke. How are you?” Lu said.
“Not bad. Just getting another cup of joe.”
“Let me get that for you. I was just heading that way.” Before he could decline, she took his mug and headed to the
coffee pot on the other side of the hall. Amongst the hustle and bustle of breakfast, nobody noticed as Lu squeezed
the juice from the berries into the glass. Then, she filled the rest with strong black coffee. She presented it to a
grateful Mr. Clarke who drank it down without incident.
“Enjoy.” Lu muttered as she thought about what would happen when the berries took their toll on Mr. Clarke’s
system. Elderberries, you see, are among nature’s most potent laxatives.
That morning, Mr. Clarke was teaching the boys about wildlife and how to build primitive hunting traps while the
girls took a walk around the lake studying the ecosystem. Halfway through his nature walk, Mr. Clarke felt his
stomach begin to churn. He kept on, not thinking too much of it. After another half an hour, however, he was in
“And over here- Ugh!” He grabbed his belly.
“Are you okay, Mr. Clarke?” Asked a student.
“Fine, I’m- Oh!” Another cramp. His bowels were going to let loose at any minute. “Just a second. You guys stay
here, I’ll be right back!” He took off into the woods, back towards the cabins and a bathroom. It was hopeless. He’d
marched the group nearly two miles away, and there was no chance he’d be able to make it back in time. He looked
around for a patch of bushes. Finally, he spotted some that looked big enough to cover up what he was about to do.
Mr. Clarke squatted in the bushes and undid his pants. He had them down around his ankles when he heard a voice.
It was Ms. Lincoln’s. Just as he began to go, an entire class of girls led by Ms. Lincoln came into view. They saw
him right away as they were headed straight for him.
“Mr. Clarke, what are you doing? Where is your group?” Ms. Lincoln asked.
Mr. Clarke quickly stood up, in the process pulling up his pants. “Uh nothing- OHHHMYGAWD!” With a loud
squelch, Mr. Clarke let loose in his pants. In front of everyone, he dirtied his drawers with the wettest, loudest,
messiest, and worst of all smelliest bowel movement he’d ever had. The seat of his pants sagged and became
discoloured. All he could do was stand there.
“Well, Mr. Clarke, it would appear that Chris isn’t the only one who needs diapers.” Ms. Lincoln scolded, and led
her girls away. There were a couple of snickers as they passed the panic-stricken man, but it wasn’t until he was out
of sight that Lu and the rest of her classmates howled with laughter.
In the morning, he was awakened by his mother. “What do you want?” He asked, a sour tone to his voice.
“I’m sorry.” She hugged her son. “I didn’t mean that. I didn’t really think about what you’d gone through. Please,
please tell me what’s going on.”
“I don’t know.” He said. “I just woke up one day, and I’d wet the bed. After that, it started happening on a regular
basis. I was embarrassed. The only reason Lu knew is that she found out when my, um. My diaper leaked.” Chris
blushed at the last statement. That was definitely not something he thought he’d ever say to his mother.
“Look, I made a doctor’s appointment for you. Let’s go.” Chris protested, but his mother gave him a stern look. His
butt was still smarting from the spanking last night, and he wasn’t keen for a repeat performance. Grudgingly, he
went to the family doctor.
“How long has this been going on?” Dr. Hibbard said.
“I don’t know. Three weeks.” Chris answered meekly, not able to meet the doctor’s gaze.
After running some tests, the doctor returned. “I don’t see any medical reason why this should be happening. Have
you been under a lot of stress lately?”
“Just finals.” Chris responded.
“Have you found a date for the prom yet?” Dr. Hibbard asked.
“How did you know about-” Chris started. Then he remembered Dr. Hibbard’s daughter was a freshman at his high
school. “Maybe.” He said. Chris thought about Lu, and a smile came to his lips. “Yeah, yeah I do.”
“Well, it sounds like it’s most likely stress-related.” The doctor noted. Just try to relax, and it should go away. “In
the meantime, here’s some anxiety pills that should help.” The doctor jotted down a prescription. Chris had it filled
later that day.
Resting at home, he read over his biology book. His time with Lu had helped immensely. He felt more prepared than
ever to do well on his final. ’I might even get a B.’ He thought.
Saturday brought an unexpected visitor. Lu dropped by to see him.
“How are you feeling?” Lu said.
“Okay I guess. I went to the doctor.”
“What did he say?”
“It’s stress. I’m on some medication to help me chill out. After finals, he thinks it will go away.” Too bad everyone
has seen me in a diaper.” Chris moaned, replaying the traumatic event in his head.
“I don’t think that will be the only thing they remember about this week.” Lu smiled, a gleam in her eye.
“What do you mean?” Chris asked.
“Just trust me. You’ll probably hear about it on Monday.” Lu laughed. Chris was suddenly looking forward to going
back to school- a little.
“So, about the prom-” Chris said.
“I meant what I said.” Lu took his hand.
Chris smiled. “I’d love to take you. On one condition, of course.”
Lu arched an inquisitive eyebrow. “What’s that?”
“You don’t make me wear a diaper beneath my tux.”
“Deal.” Lu said. She kissed his cheek. As she did so, Chris forgot about everything. The diapers, the football game,
even the spankings.
Overall, the week had started off pretty awful. It had had it’s ups and downs, but after it was all done, Chris
wouldn’t have traded it for anything. That night, he and Lu spent the first of many nights curled up in each other’s
arms watching a movie. It was the last time Chris wore a diaper.
On Monday, Chris returned to school. There were the looks, the whispers, the glances down the hall in his direction,
but overall, no one said anything to him. Least of all Mike, Stacey and their friends, the group he’d feared the most
taunting from. He and Lu walked down the hall holding hands and laughing.
Finally it was time for gym class. Mr. Clarke was his teacher, and he couldn’t wait to hear what Mr. Clarke was
going to say. Amazingly, the class was easy. Mr. Clarke stayed at his desk, something he never did, and said hardly
a word to Chris. The class was allowed to choose their own activity, from basketball to four square to volleyball.
Chris thought it was his most enjoyable gym class ever. Still, there was something funny about it all. Mr. Clarke
seemed different. Chris couldn’t put his finger on it until Mr. Clarke moved around his desk to excuse the class.
Sticking out from under Mr. Clarke’s gym shorts, Chris recognized the odd bulk of white plastic. Mr. Clarke was
wearing a diaper!
He couldn’t wait to ask Lu about this one.
