Parent Governor Required
We currently have one elected Parent Governor vacancy on our Governing Body
and are seeking a parent or carer to fill this.
What is involved?
One full governing body meeting is usually held at 4.00pm every half term and
working group meetings are also held every half term. There may be other meetings
as the need arises. The position of Governor is voluntary and lasts for up to four
How do I become a Governor?
If you would like to be an Elected Parent Governor, you need to be a parent/carer of
a child attending Futures Community College, complete the nomination form and
have this signed by two parents whose children currently attend the College.
You are also required to give a brief statement (no more than 50 words) as to why
you wish to be considered for the post of Parent Governor.
Return the nomination form, and the School Governor Eligibility Self Declaration
Form in a sealed envelope marked for the attention of the Clerk to Governors, to the
school office by Friday 27th January 2012 no later than 12.00 noon.
Nominations after this time and date cannot be considered. You can access a copy
of this letter and the relevant forms via our school website
In the event of receiving more than one nomination, a ballot will be held.
We have greatly valued the parental involvement within Futures Community College
and look forward to a continued partnership for the benefit of all our students.
