MRIGlobal is hiring one Quality Assurance Specialist to support current contracts and to establish new
operations. QA Specialists with five to fifteen years of relevant experience are needed immediately for full
time positions. Full time positions are available in the National Capitol Region.
This position will be integrated into a dynamic team to support complex forensic laboratory operations. All
scientists hired will receive extensive instrument and method-specific analysis training and cross-training.
Typical assignments include analyses, reporting, and ongoing QA/QC efforts.
The Quality Assurance Officer will be responsible for participating in product release, batch sheet review,
data compilation/support for and hosting of internal/external audits and regulatory inspections, complaint
investigations, process change request activity, validation, data management, SOP development and review
and other Quality Assurance related functions. Moreover, functions also include the ability to manage the
financial and personnel resources to execute the aforementioned programs. Additional responsibilities
include aiding in meeting the department safety requirements and goals, developing and assisting in
laboratory training program and serve as back-up for various activities of laboratory management.
Specific areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to the following:
Participate in the Internal and External Audit programs, hosting audits as needed
Assist with the Supplier Approval/Audit program, conducting audits of suppliers
Administration and monitoring of proficiency testing
Review and approve change control documentation
Track and trend compliance performance
Interface with laboratory and regulatory auditors.
Comply with MRIGlobal and Laboratory Safety and Quality policies and guidelines.
Bachelor of Science (or equivalent) degree
In-depth knowledge of QA, QC and proficiency testing concepts, operating principles, regulations
and methodologies to evaluate and resolve complex conditions applicable to the forensic laboratory
and administrative operations and procedures.
5 years’ experience working in a similar Quality Assurance related role in an accredited forensics
Experience in conducting quality based investigations and root cause analysis
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate ideas and information both written and verbally. The
additional ability to present information before an audience is desirable.
Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database computer programs
Impeccable attention to detail
Organization and follow-through skills
Basic statistical skills
Regulatory submission experience preferred
