Bio 32 Human Anatomy 4 units
Bio 35 Human Physiology 4 units
Bio 38 Microbiology 4 units
Eng 1A Composition and Reading 3 units
GE Degree Requirements:
(not required for admission; must be completed for ADN)
Math 63 Intermediate Algebra* (or higher) 3 units minimum
Chem 2A Introductory Chemistry* 4 units
Nut 1 Basic Nutrition 3 units
Psych 1 General Psychology 3 units
Soc 1 Introduction to Sociology 3 units
Com 1 Elements of Public Speaking 3 units
Area C Humanities course 3 units
*these courses are prerequisite courses for Microbiology at WHCL
Additional GE requirements for Associate Degree:
PE activity course (students under 21 years) 2 units
Application Requirements:
At least 18 years of age
High school diploma or GED
Minimum overall GPA of 2.5
Completion of prerequisite courses with a grade of C or better in each course
and GPA of 2.5.
Prerequisite courses cannot be repeated more than once
For students who are preliminarily accepted:
Criminal background clearance
Health screen clearance
Possession of Healthcare Provider CPR card
TEAS Test (ATI Test of Essential Academic Skills) – version V; minimum score of
64%
Selection Criteria:
Previous Health Care experience will be considered; preference given to students with:
o All prerequisite courses completed
o Additional GE requirements for associate degree completed
