CODE OF CONDUCT
This Code of Conduct enables both the Old Campbellian Sports Club and the College to function in a safe and professional manner
with regard to pursued activities and their impact on College’s security and child protection. It is vital that Members read, understand
and observe these obligations. Failure to do so will result in withdrawal of membership and endangers the future viability of the club.
18 Members must carry their Membership Card at all times whilst on the College premises. Members can expect to be
challenged by College staff for production of the card. Please co-operate with any such request.
19 Members are responsible for any guests they bring on site and must be able to identify them if required by College staff. For
users of the Sports Hall, a Member should provide a list of anticipated Guests to the gateman so he can expect them and Guests
therefore should be able to then identify themselves to the gateman who will man a barrier at the gate. Members may have to return to
the gate to identify guests should the gateman deem it necessary.
20 Parking - Members and Guests can only park in the designated car parks beside Middle School. Parking to the left of Middle
School beside the shooting range is prohibited. Offending car registrations will be taken by the College staff. All Members/Guests
must be off site by 10.15 pm.
21 Access to the College grounds is based on the understanding that it is a working facility twenty-four hours a day and
Members' behaviour must reflect that. The College expects all visitors to be subject to the same behavioural standards that the pupils
are bound by. Therefore high standards of respect are expected towards College property, grounds and staff. Members/visitors should
not leave any litter during their stay, desist from bad language, observe suitable dress standards and fully respect the fact no alcohol
can be brought onto College grounds.
22 The College speed limit of 15 mph must be strictly adhered to for very obvious reasons. The College expect only to see
Sports Club members on the route from the front gate to the Sports/ Hockey Club Complex. Any deviation from this route can be
considered as trespass. It must be borne in mind that many boarders and permanent staff live and operate in the grounds and their
privacy and safety must be upheld. Members should also note that membership does not include the right to treat the College as their
personal park for jogging, family walks etc. Once again, access is only permitted for bona fide sporting business.
23 Members should be aware that should infringements of the Code of Conduct occur they will be referred to a disciplinary
committee under the auspices of The Old Campbellian Society Council. A right of appeal will exist following rulings to an appeal
committee comprising representatives of the College, Governors and OC Council. The College reserve the right however to deny
access to any Member/Guest irrespective of any decision made by these two bodies should they deem it necessary. The Old
Campbellian Sports Club and the College have worked together to produce these guidelines and do not wish them to be construed as
unwelcoming or threatening. The College appreciates the benefits and profile that “Old Boy” sporting participation brings to all
parties. These requirements merely provide a solid, safe and professional platform for both College and Old Campbellian Sports Club
to operate from. Your co-operation on these matters is greatly appreciated as is your continued support for the Club.
