Dear Prospective Nursing Student:
As part of the admission process for the Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing program at Wesley College, all
applicants are required to take the Pre-Admission Examination, (NLN RN-PAX) a standardized entrance exam for
potential nursing students nationwide.
SCHEDULING AND TAKING THE NLN-PAX:
Please register and pay at www.nlnonlinetesting.org to secure seating, the cost is $75. If you choose Wesley
College as your test site, plan to arrive early, parking is at a premium. The testing location is in the Nursing
Computer Lab located in the Department of Nursing in Dulany Hall on Fulton Street, at Wesley College, Dover,
Test dates for Spring 2013 entry are:
October 13 8 am – 12 pm Dulany Hall Computer Lab
November 17 8 am – 12 pm Dulany Hall Computer Lab
December 8 8 am – 12 pm Malmberg 114 - paper/pencil test
January 12, 2012 8 am – 12 pm Dulany Hall Computer Lab (Fall 2013 entry)
Please be aware of the following guidelines:
Test dates and times could change or cancellations occur if a min of 8 is not met on chosen test date.
NLN RN-PAX test will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. – Bring a pencil
A Composite Score of 115 or above on the NLN RN-PAX is required to obtain entry into the BSN
All prospective students may take the NLN RN-PAX a maximum of two times to achieve success and
acceptance into the BSN Program.

PREPARING FOR NLN-PAX:
The NLN Review Guide for RN Pre-Entrance Exam, by Mary E. McDonald, RN, MA, is available in the bookstore
at Wesley College for $34.95. This study guide is an overview of the verbal, math, and science content containing
approximately 1,000 practice questions and three practice exams in the three content areas. If you are a student
attending Wesley College please ask about our tutoring program.
SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS FOR TAKING THE NLN- PAX-RN

You will be required to provide documentation from your attending physician/health care provider.
There are other testing locations that might be closer to your home. If you choose one of these sites, request that
your test scores be sent to Wesley College.
