ACCREDITED PRIOR LEARNING
On the basis of the information you have given in the previous section, St John’s will assess whether
there are possible grounds for recommending that you are granted accreditation of prior learning (APL)
in place of part of the Professional Certificate in Ministry (PCM) programme. If you have studied
theology previously please state in the box below which module it is from which you seek exemption
and what unspent HE certificated credits you have which might justify your application.

Please note that you cannot be considered for APL unless you provide St John’s with a transcript from
your accrediting university which demonstrates that you gained the relevant HE credits. If your
qualification is over five years old, it may be accepted provided that you are able to offer evidence of
continued application of your prior theological learning (e.g. teaching; Christian ministry).
