							                                       Employer Agreement

This agreement is made between:
Strode College                     Training Provider     And                                        Employer
THE EMPLOYER CONFIRMS THAT THEY WILL:
1. Provide a Safe and Healthy working environment for the Learner, by providing Health & Safety Training and Personal
   Protective Equipment (As Applicable to the role), holding the appropriate insurances (ELI & PLI) and by completing
   any health and safety improvements suggested by the Strode College representative.
2. Will provide a working environment which does not discriminate against anyone and provides appropriate equal
   opportunities training to the Learner and will allow the learner to follow the company and college grievance
   procedures where necessary.
3. Provide the Learner with terms and conditions of employment, and issue a contract of employment within 13 weeks
   of commencement of employment.
4. Provide the learner with terms and conditions of employment, provide the learner with the appropriate holiday
   entitlement as set out within the company policies, and pay the Learner the appropriate rate for the job
   (information of current minimum wage entitlement can be found on the national apprenticeship website)
5. Release the Learner for any “off the job” training as required by the learning programme and the Individual Learning
   Plan (ILP).
6. Inform the Placement Officer/Assessor of any accidents, illnesses or near misses concerning the learner whilst they
   are on programme.
7. Inform the Placement Officer/Assessor of any problems with the learners’ employment prior to termination of the
   Learners contract of employment and provide information regarding the learner’s attendance record to the
   Placement Officer/Assessor as requested.
8. Provide information, advice and guidance to the Learner throughout the programme, actively contribute to the
   review and assessment process and agree to release the learner for interviews, careers events and guidance where
   continued employment with the company is not an option at the end of the programme.
STRODE COLLEGE CONFIRMS THAT THEY WILL:
1. Complete adequate Initial Assessment Activities to ensure that the learner receives adequate and appropriate
   support and to provide information, advice and guidance throughout the learner’s programme
2. Provide regular support and guidance to the learner’s assessment and tutorial visits (Minimum of 4 Weekly) to
   review the progress being made towards completion on a regular basis and provide the learner and
   employer/mentor the opportunity to provide input into any goals and targets which are agreed as part of this
   process.
3. Provide fair and supportive assessment; provide full, clear and supportive feedback to the candidate and to provide
   a clear route for appeals and complaints.
4. Provide you with the quality of service as outlined within the Strode College – Student and Employer Charters.
5. Monitor the workplace’s Health and Safety to ensure that the placement is a healthy and safe environment for the
   learner.
6. Provide Health and Safety and Equal Opportunities support and information within the induction and ensure that
   the learner has an adequate knowledge of these legislations at regular review meetings.
7. Provide additional support and guidance to learners who require Additional Learning or Social Needs and provide a
   clear referral process for people who wish to access student support or learning resources within the college.

The government apprenticeship scheme provides the apprenticeship programme on a funded basis; this funding
depends on a number of factors which may result in course fees being incurred by the company as detailed below:

Learner is 16 – 18 years of Age on day of enrolment               Training is fully funded and NO invoice will be sent.
Learner is 19 years of age or older on the day of enrolment       Course fee of £__________ will be applicable.

Payment of course fees through a direct debit agreement can be arranged and will be set up with our finance
department as detailed below:
                  Initial payment from the employer of £__________ followed by 10 Monthly payments of £__________



 THE EMPLOYER DECLARATION
 I confirm that I have read the Employer Agreement and agree to ensure that I work towards keeping my
 commitments to the learning programme, and will pay any fees which are applicable to the scheme.
 I am happy to support the learner through their learning programme and can confirm that the learner has had a full
 induction into the workplace including Health and Safety and Equal Opportunities and will provide the learner with a
 contract of employment.
