SUNSET RANCH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL - SUGGESTED SUPPLIES FOR STUDENTS – 2012-2013 SCHOOL YEAR Parents frequently ask our teachers what they can do to assist the school. There are many ways, from volunteering your time to providing extra supplies. The school provides all the supplies that are necessary for students, but any additional supplies would always be welcomed and appreciated. This is definitely not a requirement, but rather a suggestion for those of you who have asked us what you can do to help. Below is a suggested list of supplies by grade level. (A backpack or book bag is highly recommended for all students.) nd Kindergarten 2 Grade-- To share with class: 1 box Ziploc sandwich bags Pencils—Ticonderoga (preferred) 1 or more fine point black Sharpies Pencil top erasers 2-24 count box of Crayola crayons 24 pack Crayola crayons 1 box of Crayola washable markers Large glue sticks 1 tray of washable watercolors Dry Erase Markers 5 packages of 100 count index cards (3 x 5) An old sock or soft cloth for whiteboard wipe-off 2 reams of white paper 3 wide ruled spiral notebooks 1 ream of colored copy paper (not construction) 2 box Kleenex tissue Hand sanitizer (teacher use – large size- 20+ oz) 1 box Ziplocs—any size 15 or more glue sticks Sanitizer wipes (ex. (mechanical preferred) Erasers: Hand held or pencil tops College ruled lined paper: 2-3 packages (500-1000) Binder: 1½-2 inch three ring with dividers (label them math, reading, writing, social studies, science, notes home) Pens: 1 red, 1 black, 1 blue Scissors Glue Stick White Board Marker Colored Pencils All Students: Pencil Sharpener (with cover to collect pencil shavings please) Highlighter Please bring at least one ream of Flash Drive: This is an important piece of equipment, as students will use them to store and transport their white copy paper (8 ½ x 11). computer files.
