West Pittston Rams Special Meeting
April 2nd, 2011
At Mike & Tiffany Clarks home, 5pm
Matt- Call to order
Special meeting is for discussion on registration and fundraising.
Matt Crake (President)
Motion by: Matt to sell the left over teddy bears to the Duryea association so they can sell then
at the League Cheer Competition. We’ll sell to them no less than $3.50 but will try to sell for
$5.00 or more and negotiate.
Motion 2nd: by all. Motion unanimously approved.
Sherrie Petrowski (Concession & banquet Manager)
Motion by: Sherrie to create a Krispy Kreme fund raiser for new football Jersey for the boys.
Feels dark green jerseys and Kelly green pants don’t look appropriate. Must be same color.
Discussion over should we get new pants or new shirts???
Mike, Maureen, Matt concerned over cost since parents just bought new shirts last year.
Tiffany & Sue concerned over color. The cheerleader uniforms are a Kelly green. Feel the girls &
boys should look the same & all agreed on that.
Jason & Tiffany need to get into the shed to see exactly what we have in way of girl uniforms &
Tiffany & Sue states would like to participate in the fundraiser for new pom-poms for the girls
for cheer competitions & games.
Board agreed to give the fundraiser a go, however, at this time we are still going with current
jerseys until the funds are raised. Just in-case the fundraiser doesn’t raise enough money. If it
does, then discussion will be on the color.
Amended Motion: by Sherrie-to create a Kripsy Kreme fundraiser to see if money can be raise
for new jerseys, pom-poms and possibly new football pants for the boys. Both boys & girls will
participate in this fundraiser.
Motion 2nd by: Maureen – motion unanimously approved.
Discussion on girdles with pads & practice jerseys for the boys. The parents can purchase the
girdles & practice jerseys for $15.00 a piece. The Rams will order them through Febbos for the
parents & distribute them to the kids via team Moms.
Motion by: Sherrie to offer the girdles & practice jerseys for sale @ $15.00 per item.

1. $150.00 to Mike for ticket sales from George Taggart.
2. Motion by: Sherrie to give out the $25.00 activity flyer for working the stand that also allows the
parents to make several choices of when & what games they want to work AND to distribute the
flyer for giving out the raffle tickets. Each parent must sign that they received a certain amount
of numbered tickets.
3. Motion 2nd by: Maureen. Motion unanimously approved.
4. Motion by: Sherrie to offer “working the chains” as an activity to sign up for that will be a

6. Motion by: Sherrie to use tickets at the stand to purchase food & drinks. Tickets will be
purchased in the stand in the corner, and then customers can slide down to make purchase.
Price & ticket amount will be noted on white board.
7. Motion put to a vote: 5 voted yes and 1 voted no. 2 opted not to vote.
8. Motion approved by majority vote.
9. Motion by: Sherrie to distribute the motorcycle raffle tickets out to each child during
registration. Each child will get 10 tickets. Must be returned by the first week of August.
10. Motion 2nd by: Maureen. Motion unanimously approved.
11. Regarding “Family Fun Day” –Each family that sells 100 tickets gets their name in the drawing to
win a prize. The value will be placed at $150.00. The choice of prizes are:
1. A day at Knoebel’s
2. Dinner at Johnny Rockets & a movie at Cinemark.
3. Penguin Hockey Tickets.
4. Tickets to Dorney Park.
Sue Redmond (Medical Support)
Motion by: Sue to purchase a multi-person medical Kit for games and competitions. Cost of kit
is $199.00. Mike will order the kit on-line.
Motion 2nd by: all. Motion unanimously approved.
Sue would also like to have the Board certified in CPR. Going to look into getting someone from
the Red Cross to give us a class in the future.
Jason will leave his medical bag for practices.
Sue will have EMT’s on stand-by for our four home games.
Sue states we need to defilbulator pads and where is the charger??? Maybe in the shed. Jason
will look when he gets into the shed.
Sue asking if she needs to keep the same assisted coaches or can she pick new coaches among
new ones that apply for the cheer team that she advises???? Per Matt, can pick new coaches
that apply but must advise previous assisted coaches that their services are no longer needed
and can bring the VP of Cheer with her for support.
Sue excuses herself from the rest of the meeting at 7:30pm.

Uniform purchase. Going with Kelly Green .
Would like Krispy Kreme fundraiser money to purchase pom-poms for competitions.
Will use the pom-poms they have now for practice.
Maureen O’Reilly-Sigman (Secretary)
Motion by: Maureen to approve “sign up” flyer to be distributed to the schools in West Pittston
& the 6th graders at 10 Street Elementary.
Motion 2nd by: Sherrie. Motion unanimously approved.
Showed the “Night out at Sab’s flyer” and the “Friendly’s” Flyer for those two fundraiser that
will be done. Board agrees with the flyers. Will be giving the flyers out during registration as
George Taggart (VP of Media & Promotion)
George would like to make a “WELCOME” sign we could hang at the stand to welcome each
team that comes to our homes games.
George would also like to make a sign to define the word “Volunteerism” and place that at the
stand as well.

Jason McDade (VP of Football)
Request to make a separate binder for the Cheer and football activity fee refunds. To keep track
of who worked where and who will be getting a refund and who will not be. This way there will
be no discrepancies.
Will be getting into the shed on a Saturday very soon.
