Specific Job Description:
The successful candidate will carry out systems integration, test, verification and validation
planning, execution and reporting in support of multiple projects for various products developed by
internal and external organisations. The candidate will report to the functional manager of the
Integration Functional Area (who is responsible for the overall performance of the staff within that
area) and to individual project managers and work package leads as required for specific tasking.
Standard Job Description
To plan, implement, test, document and maintain solutions for the integration and testing of in-
house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems and systems.
To synthesise customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that
acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints.
To establish functional and technical specifications and standards.
To resolve hardware/software interface problems, define input/output parameters and ensures
integration of the entire system or subsystem.
To review, evaluate and derive requirements for testability.
To develop and direct preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and
schedules for complete systems and subsystems.
To coordinate subsystem and system testing activities within programs and other
To perform analysis of test results and prepare comprehensive subsystem and/or system level
evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance.
To write discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify and
validate fixes to software, components, subsystems and systems.
Comprehensive understanding of core concepts, standards and techniques for:
Process standards (including CMMI & the MoD AOF; development and design methodologies;
process implementation including process tailoring for projects and programmes and for
process management and improvement);
Test, Verification & Validation planning (comprising verification tasks and plans; evaluation
criteria; environments, assets and instrumentation; process flows; data input lists; procedures;
requirements traceability and reviews);
Systems Integration planning (comprising integration tasks and plans; evaluation criteria;
facilities, assets and instrumentation; integration flows; data input lists; procedures;
requirements traceability and reviews);
Systems Integration execution (logistics; integration of COTS products and reporting);
Test, Verification & Validation execution (preparation and coordination of test facilities,
resources & assets; execution of tests and demonstrations; reporting; identification,
documentation, disposition and investigation of problems and discrepancies);
Communications - effective listening, speaking, presentation and technical writing skills.

Familiar with core concepts, standards and techniques for:
Enterprise Analysis (operational concept development including mission profiles, operational

System Analysis (performance analysis including performance test design and post test data
analysis; probability and statistics techniques and design of experiments).

Typical Minimum Education & Experience:
Bachelors degree from an accredited educational institution in a related discipline, or equivalent
