As a Player you agree to the following Rules that will be enforced by the Recreation District:

1. National Federation of High School basketball rules govern play with the following modifications and
clarifications.
2. If you are involved in any fighting you will be fined $25 and you will not be allowed to play for the
entire season and in order to play the next season you will have to Pay the Emery County Recreation Men’s
Basketball league another Fee of $25.00
3. If you receive a Technical foul you will have to pay a $15.00 fee before you can reenter the game. If you
receive two Technical fouls the same night you will have to pay the fee and will be suspended for 2 games.
If you have totaled 5 Technical fouls for the season you will be suspended for the season and will not be
able to play next season until you pay Emery County Recreation Men’s Basketball league a Fee of $25.00.
“Remember we are not NBA Players and we do not have NBA Refs. The Refs are there at our
benefit”
4. There will be two 16 minutes halves. If necessary, a three-minute period will be played for overtime.
5. Show respect to each team and act your age.
6. A five minute Grace period will be allowed for each game.
7. If a team is up by 20 or more points we will have a mercy rule. With the mercy rule there will be a
running clock the whole game unless the team that is down gets the score within 15.
8. The game clock will stop during:
          A. Time outs
          B. Shooting fouls
          C. All whistles during last minute of each half
          D. All whistles during last minute of overtime.
          E. Unusually long delay in game (injury, official’s timeout, unplayable ball, etc)
9. Each team will have three full and two thirty second time-outs per game. One extra time out will be
allotted to each team during overtime.
10. One –and – one free throws will be awarded on the seventh team foul of each half. Two free throws will
be awarded on the tenth team foul of each half.
11. Will wear the same color of jersey as your team with a number.
