If temperature permits, sport coats are acceptable. Throughout the spring months (April to May)
temperatures in Beijing rise quickly day to day. They also vary greatly between day and night—around 13
degree variance Celsius (50 degrees variance Fahrenheit). Spring is a windy and dry season. Cold winds
are also frequent throughout spring months. Average low is 56.5 °F and average high is 78.8 °F, and
rainfall averages 1.34 inches in May.

Other recommended sites to see before or after the conference:

Visit beautiful and interesting cities such as Tokyo, Seoul, Singapore, Bangkok, Shanghai, Hong Kong, etc.
Specifically within China, you might enjoy visiting Xian, home of the world-famous Terra Cotta soldiers
and horses; the Yangtze River, the longest river in Asia, and the third-longest in the world; Guilin, located
by the banks of the Li River featuring unusual landscapes; and Lhasa, Tibet, a lonely place from the rest of
the world with magnificent views of the amazing Himalayas.

fun/interesting but also to give you the opportunity to network with fellow Cornerstone consultants, so

                 Cornerstone Assessment Tool (CAT)
Approximately 30 years ago, Dr. Richard Doss developed the foundation for a system that today
has many applications in the human capital field. The enclosed information provides more details.
Presentations were made on this system at seven of our Annual Conferences—Merida in 2005, the
Mediterranean cruise in 2006, Honolulu in 2007, Oxford in 2008, Las Vegas in 2009, Rome in 2010,
and Montreal in 2011—with a specific focus on its application in the retained search industry.

Cornerstone International Group has arranged for this proprietary assessment system to be made
available with the Cornerstone Logo on it. Every consultant of Cornerstone International Group can
be certified to use the system. You will be able to offer these assessments as part of your search
process, or as an “add-on” incremental revenue generating business. Because this product has
the Cornerstone Logo on it, your competitors will not have it available. You can offer your clients
something that is truly unique!

Certification Training takes approximately 15 hours of class time. Already many Cornerstone
Consultants and Guests have been certified to use the tool. To assist other Cornerstone Members
to begin using this valuable tool as soon as possible we will be conducting Certification Training
just prior to the Cornerstone Annual Conference in Beijing, PRC. The dates and times are:

                   Monday, May 21, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (working lunch)
                   Tuesday, May 22, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (working lunch).

The cost of the Cornerstone Assessment Certification Training plus lodging/F&B is $1,650 per
attendee.* We are offering two “specials” as follows:

  1. Those Cornerstone Consultants who previously have been certified to use the Cornerstone
Assessments may attend this training as a “Refresher” at cost of only $750. In other words,
they can consider this an “at cost” refresher course to build their skills using the
assessments. Those who have purchased at least 20 assessments in the previous fiscal
year can participate in this Level I training totally free.

  2. Each Cornerstone Consultant who becomes Certified at the Annual Conference will be given
seven (7) Cornerstone Assessments free of cost to use in their market. These seven are
equal to the cost of the certification training; thus, in reality, the training is free.

Make your plans now to attend. This is an opportunity to add a tool to your business, or even a
separate business, that offers significant incremental revenue potential. Because it is under the
Cornerstone Logo, you are provided an opportunity to offer in your market what no one else can—a
“Brand” that will be unique to you. This will make you more attractive to your clients, as well as
potential new clients. Remember, Larry Shoemaker, who has used this tool for about 15 years,
continues to say “I use it because it makes me better. It also results in the generation of $10,000-
$25,000 incrementally every year. And if it helps me to obtain just one additional client, it generates
significantly more than that.”

* The unit cost of each Cornerstone Assessment is $75.00, in quantities less than 100. You have
the opportunity to mark this up to whatever is reasonable for your clients to pay. The fee you
charge to your clients might range from $150 to $1,000 per assessment, depending on what you do
to add value, which means this will produce an additional Profit Center for your local company.

Sleeping room nights may be added or deleted at $150/night.

THIS SYSTEM MATCHES CANDIDATES WITH SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS
Based on the theory: Competence + Compatibility = Contribution to Results
                                           C1 + C2 = C4
(C4 is the result of synergy between C1 and C2)

Competence is the skills, knowledge, experience, training and education that prepare someone to
perform in a specific position.

Compatibility is the factor which indicates “human comfort… being a ‘good fit’ with the
environment.”

The Cornerstone Assessments offer:

•The end to “subjective” ratings or judgments of people’s behavior. The “Job-Person
Matching Process” assures fair and equitable treatment of all candidates.

•The System produces data to support decisions, and it also provides a basis for tracking
the effectiveness of decisions relative to performance criteria and reviews.

•“Gaps” are easily identified as issues for a supervisor to watch as well as opportunities
for the development of the person.

•Software text files and sections in the training manual provide helpful suggestions to
Coaches or Supervisors to deal with these gaps in a constructive manner.

This System works in any country and culture. The instruments themselves are currently available
in English, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Certificates of Completion will be issued May 24 at our Cornerstone Conference evening reception.

Make plans to attend the Cornerstone Assessment Tools (CAT) Level I Certification training today.
Send your training tuition of $1,650 in along with your Conference registration fee by Feb. 1st.
