SPRING FLING: PHOTOS NEXT MONTH!
Thank you Marji, Bethany, Lori, Cassie, and Coleen for planning and set up efforts for this event!
Despite a few clouds overhead, about 14 members and 12 SBT’s enjoyed a fun day of games, food
and contests. Thor (Botsford) was the winner of the Staffy Kong game with a score of 16 (knock
over plastic bottles) Kazul (Stafford) was the loser knocking over only one, Star (Case) beat Fergus
(Malloy) (her grandfather!) in a timed run off for the Weiner run. Otis (Stafford) scored high points
in Staffy Idol, perhaps it was from his flirting with the judges that gave him points for tricks?

Cassie Malloy presided over a fun match for conformation. Best in Match: (BIM?) was Thor
(Botsford) and Best Opposite Sex was Cloud (Dalton).

Best Whining: Nutmeg (Dalton), Best Tail Wag: Sadie (Coon-Hamilton) Biggest Smile: Babu
(LeFavor); Best Litter Represented: Sister bitches: Violet (Coon-Hamilton) & Cloud (Dalton) & TC
(Dalton). Most Gray Muzzle: Blaze (Case) tie Fergus (Malloy) tie Otis (Stafford);

Best Dessert was a flip between Nichole Hamilton’s Chocolate Bundt Cake and the Supreme
Cupcakes that Lori LeFavor brought from Cupcake Royale.

We also want to thank Mindy Wilson for taking photos at our event. We hope to have a link for
viewing soon, but check her website: http://m-wilsonphotography.blogspot.com/

   From Thornton Alberg:
Cocoa Mulch may present a hazard!

There is some truth to this. It was first reported in 2003, according to Snopes.
http://www.snopes.com/critters/crusader/cocoamulch.asp
There are some chemical components (Theo bromine) that are akin to the pet toxins in
chocolate that are dangerous to dogs. The aroma of this mulch substance, like
chocolate, is a dangerous attraction for your pet, SO: be on watch if your pet could
ingest this substance while nosing around in your yard, or your neighborhood. Vomiting,
lethargy, or other signs of toxic exposure should be taken seriously and prompt
    professional treatment by your vet.

In general: Dogs eat Stuff… be a vigilant guardian for the safety of your four-pawed
   family member!
