Bank of Tokyo – Mitsubishi is one of the best banks in the world, has several branches in U.S.A.
The project ‘BkTracker’ provides Bank of Tokyo management with information on branch sales
activity, comparison reports of branch activity, performance of each branch to the employee level,
number of branches that have reported data and those which did not report any data, status of
each application from each branch, employee details at each branch and snap shot of over all
activity by Bank of Tokyo at any given time.

Responsibilities:

       Designed and developed triggers to monitor the database integrity and implemented
        business rules
       Used replications effectively for replicating the data from the head office to local
        branches.
       Used Active \ Passive Clustering effectively instead of Log Shipping to maintain the Data
        Server in case of failure.
       Used SQL profiler to check the performance of objects assigned

       Optimized the performance of various stored procedures assigned to me by team lead.

    Reduced the usage of temporary tables in the stored procedures considerably to improve
       the performance of the system using permanent tables and table variables
    Designed and developed a stored procedure to report the number of invalid files that each
       branch report on any given day. Existing stored procedure was using xp_cmdshell to
       retrieve information, taking system resources for more than 150 seconds. The new stored
       procedure uses a table to capture all the invalid file names when they are created and the
       system uses only 5 seconds to load that data in the browser.
    Improved the performance of the system by improving the error handling system. Each
       stored procedure used to send multiple error messages using the SQL mail agent. The
       stored procedures have been modified to send errors in a single mail and mention the
       reason for the errors as a log sheet. Usage of Cursors has been reduced and update
       statements are extensively used to improve the performance of the system.
